I don't have time to write up an in-depth article, but, I did an update to destruction warlock stat weights. The default weights did not change, since they are working well already. What I had to do was add an alternate "preset" for the few people who have mostly 372+ item level gear. The preset focuses on getting the 30% haste threshold (7th immolate tick) since that is a substantial DPS boost even at the cost of other stats (hit).

Click on the presets tab to check it out, especially if you want to see BiS sets for the t11 heroic level.

Hey, so I've been tryin to find out the difference in stat weights now that mastery got a 5% increase in 4.1. Your stat weights still have haste higher, maxdps has mastery higher, and I dont have the tools to calculate. Please help! Thanks.

There's a problem with your preset stat weights for Affliction Warlocks.
They were developed, your article said, with Drain Life as the filler.
But Affliction Warlocks at present don't use DL as filler, they use Shadowbolt. That shifts the value of mastery to significantly lower than crit, rather than equal to it.

That articles is old. I re-tested the stat weights for 4.3 (and 4.2) and use shadowbolt as the filler.

I found crit to be valued higher when I calculated the stat weight values... but I was still getting better DPS by optimizing with crit = mastery. I can check again with the latest version of SimC, since I know they keep changing it.
