API change?
(1/1)
singingzombies:
Noticed an item update (Campaign relics now can have augment slots, etc) but now simulationcraft swtor, which has an import profile feature to interact with the API has recently been failing with the error message:
Unexpected token '
Simulation has been canceled during player setup! (thread=0)
Unable to extract player name from 'http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/api/character/v1/35260462-76bd-4514-986f-7fd2fd9c4cc5'.
I was curious about the unexpected token since I'm looking into fixing the API interface code myself.
EDIT: Nevermind, I notice that now I get "Internal Server Error 500" whenever I try access the API of my character profiles. Weird since the example API in the API blog post still seems to work.
Thanks alot for your work on this site! Its a real gem for swtor players!

We got a few error reports last night from the character API. I'm looking into it now -- it seems there are certain items in the new data causing an issue.
yellowfive:
So the issue is that in the previous version of the data, we had augments available on both versions of the black hold implants. That was incorrect though -- there are 2 versions of the implant: one without an augment that can be purchased with 35 commendations, and one with an augment, that can be crafted.
So what happened is some character profiles had the non-crafted version with an augment, and the code doesn't like that now. We'll make it stop giving an error in this case.
In the meantime, you can go to your character profile and update the implant to use the crafted version, and the error should go away.
yellowfive:
This should be fixed now.
