I tried a temporary fix for that cloak armor enchant bug -- guess it didn't quite work.  I'm simultaneously working on brand new armory parsing code that will handle it for certain, but it will be another week or so before that code can go live.  I'll see if I can quickly fix that cloak enchant issue in the short term.

The default weight on armor is already pretty high... recall that we don't multiply it at all to even it up with the item budget of other stats, the weight is for 1 point of armor compared to 1 point of strength (or whatever other stat).  That said, if it needs to be higher, that's fine by me!

Yeah stamina I just guessed -- I'll keep an eye on the tests and all that Theck and others are running as MoP gets closer.  It has always been a somewhat "problematic" stat to weight, since it is somewhat independent of the other stats.

I hope to finish our coding changes for MoP with at least a week to spare before release, during which I plan to revive our tanking simulator that is used to tweak tanking stats.  It only worked for bears in cataclysm, but I want to extend it to all tank classes in MoP.

Sacred Duty did a very interesting analysis of prot stat weights:

Thanks for linking the post -- there's a lot of good information in there.

Once we have the website fully updated for level 90, I plan to do some independent simulations for protection warriors to help confirm some more of this theory and generate a good set of functional weights for optimization.

And a followup analysis by Theck: http://sacredduty.net/2012/09/18/l90-warrior-mitigation-followup/

With all his magic, he's come up with these numbers for his "'Long' generator queue, 'Bleed' finisher queue" (which would be my choice for no-swap fights):

Code: [Select]
N=50, \tau=10000, stat=1500|          |  dodge |  parry |    hit |    exp | mastery ||     mean | 0.0078 | 0.0078 | 0.0057 | 0.0058 |  0.0102 ||      std | 0.0006 | 0.0005 | 0.0005 | 0.0006 |  0.0006 || std_mean | 0.0001 | 0.0001 | 0.0001 | 0.0001 |  0.0001 ||          |        |        |        |        |         ||     mean | 0.7594 | 0.7589 | 0.5568 | 0.5668 |  1.0000 ||      std | 0.0553 | 0.0447 | 0.0445 | 0.0538 |  0.0598 || std_mean | 0.0078 | 0.0063 | 0.0063 | 0.0076 |  0.0085 |
So, if I'm understanding this correctly, weights would become:

Code: [Select]
1.00 Mastery0.76 Parry0.76 Dodge0.57 Expertise0.56 Hit
Where then would the other weights fall (Strength, Stamina, Armor, Haste)?

I'm not in a huge rush for finalized numbers, but I would like to have something to start with for raid on Tuesday.

Yeah I saw that blog post -- still have to read through it all.  I have been tied up fixing bugs all week as users load up various kinds of characters and new gear.  I plan to update tank stat weights this coming week -- most likely using his posts as a basis.
