- fixed minor bug with soft cap for haste inadvertently showing up for bm/mm hunters and causing a validation error
- fixed minor bug causing the optimizer to go too far over the soft hit cap for dual wielders in certain cases
- added a weight to the run speed part of boot enchants; this makes sure that the optimizer does not neglect to suggest upgrades when you have near-optimal gear, but no run speed increase

RoboMaul, Mr. Robot's pet bear, is now available!  RoboMaul is an advanced theorycraft tool for bear druids.

- fixed a couple minor bugs with the displayed character stat totals (very small adjustments to AP for some classes)
- updated unholy dk stat weights
- minor improvement to reforge optimizer that should pick up a few edge cases better
- fixed a bug where cogwheels would sometimes throw off the reforge optimizer
- improved bear druid stat weights, as well as a new link to alternative weights for the dodge-rating fanatics out there
- updates to a few rogue weights, elemental weights

Mr. Robot would like to apologize to bear druids for his frequent updates.  He has been arguing furiously with RoboMaul in order to find the best default stat weights.  At this point, he does not anticipate any further significant changes.
The latest default bear druid weights are more for the "pure main tank" style bear druid, and are created for players taking heavy damage in main-tank raid settings.
If you are more of an off-tank, or usually do content with bosses that don't hit as hard, such as 5-mans or 10-mans, there is a link by the stat weights at the bottom of the page to load an alternative set of weights that are more suitable.

- made a minor tweak to the gear selection algorithm that should be a slight improvement for some classes like combat rogues; it's not perfect yet, but it seems to be closer than before
- fixed bug sometimes suggesting stamina purple gems for people who use hit
- fixed bug swapping the position of JC gems and thinking it's an 'upgrade'
- fixed missing soft-cap value on haste and hard cap on spirit for resto shamans
- fixed a minor bug where certain weapon enchants would increase the total score; this had no impact on the optimizer, just ended up being confusing to users sometimes
- in RoboMaul, the AutoPuncher 9000 now defaults to hitting for 150,000 before mitigation, which is a little more manly.
- added a configurable stamina 'hard cap', tanks may find this useful to target a minimum amount of health; it has not been tested super extensively, so please let us know if you find any bugs

Small patch with some bug fixes:

- updated the blood dk default weights to have a much lower weight on stamina by default; a more comprehensive analysis of blood weights is forthcoming, but for now this should end up with builds that focus more on avoidance/mastery, with a favor for mastery
- setting the weight on two stats equal to each other will try to "balance" those stats, as before, but the balancing point has been changed to be the amount "on gear" rather than the amount after full buffs and talents;
note that hit/spirit, hit/expertise, and parry/dodge are special cases that do not follow this "balancing" rule, but instead have custom logic -- the custom logic for these cases is unchanged
- fixed a minor bug with loading characters who have empty sockets
- fixed a bug where the optimizer would swap the position of cogwheels; note that you will have to reload your character from the armory for this change to take effect (note that at the time of this post, the eu armory is down for maintenance, so you may get an error loading characters until it is back up)
- fixed a bug causing unusual things to happen with gems in specific cases due to the previous update

The stat window now also shows unbuffed stats.

- added spec pages that show Mr. Robot's default talent specs
- total score now contains an estimated value for set bonuses
- the trinket Unheeded Warning now uses the weight for main-hand DPS with an estimated 20% up-time
- fixed a bug causing set bonuses to not be weighted properly in some cases
- fixed a bug with the last version that caused the optimizer to no longer favor spirit over hit for spirit dps classes

Posted an update that fixes some minor issues with the gear selection algorithm, particularly around set bonuses.  In general, it should be picking slightly better sets of gear in most cases for all classes now.

Posted a small update with a couple bug fixes and tweaks:

- Mr. Robot will no longer suggest a BiS item that is equivalent to your currently equipped item (i.e. has the exact same stats)
- Fixed a bug where in a couple cases a bad reforge or two was being suggested
- A few missing items were added

We almost got all the PvP items into this update, but it needs another day or two of testing.  Next week!

Added a feature for 3rd party tools and websites to build links to Mr. Robot!  Read this article for more info:
http://www.askmrrobot.com/wow/article/general/link-to-mr-robot

- fixed display of dodge/parry stats in character window (was sometimes slightly off)
- fixed issue with healer preference option sometimes not choosing the appropriate meta gem (throughput picks ember, mana picks revitalizing)
- fixed bug where sometimes a +hit gem would show up for healers at or over the spirit 'cap' (only resto shamans have a default spirit cap, but all healers can configure one)
- updated estimate for warlock 4T11 set bonus

NOTE: this update has cleared the server cache due to the large number of items that were modified; the next time you load your character, it will automatically load from the armory, so it could take a few extra seconds.

We have finally convinced Mr. Robot to try out PvP!  He still needs a little practice... but it's a good start.

PvP items, filters, new stat weights, new editable stat caps -- all the tools one would need to create a set of PvP gear are now available!

We do not have our own default weights for PvP yet... we're hoping that the community can use the tools that we have provided to help us generate appropriate defaults.  The PvP options are not as thoroughly tested as PvE, so please let us know if you find any weirdness!

- note that the special effects of PvP 4-piece set bonuses have no extra weight at the moment
- added an extra digit of allowed precision on stat weights/caps
- the editable hit/expertise caps should allow people to optimize for 5-man-only PvE content as well
- fixed a bug with gear score calculation for dodge/parry diminishing returns; you may notice a couple of different reforge suggestions for tanks as a result
- random-enchant items (e.g. 'of the windstorm') of lower item level (down to ilvl300) should load correctly now
- added pvp gems and enchants
- updated affliction, arms, and fury stat weights

A new Save feature has been added!  It is a very straightforward feature that basically saves the link to what you are seeing on the page, then lets you come back later and load it via the 'Pick a Character' menu.

Please note that we do not have user accounts on our site yet; thus, data is saved on your browser.  This means that your saved profiles won't transfer from one computer to another right now.  Sorry :(

We also added a much-improved stat window!  Click 'Show Stats' by your score to check it out!

- added a pure cat and pure bear spec on the spec pages
- the optimizer will no longer try to reforge heirlooms
- fixed a bug where dark intent was getting added to unbuffed stats (display error only)
- spell penetration is now available to all classes as they see fit
- a cc-breaking pvp trinket will no longer be forced as a requirement by the optimizer if your race is human
- fixed a minor issue with displaying estimated trinket proc attributes in the stat window
- the optimizer will properly distinguish trinket procs/uses that can only trigger on damage or only on heal, and not give them any weight if your spec does not match
- if you have a scope on a weapon as a warrior, mr. robot will not longer try to take it off
- fixed a bug where 'locking' a BiS ring or trinket slot would sometimes show the wrong slot as locked

Improved image caching and added some extra compression of static resources, which should help speed up the site a bit.

- Mr. Robot will no longer try to reforge items below ilvl200
- Some other minor bug fixes that hopefully no one noticed, so we won't point out what they were

Added a new 'Presets' tab for stat weights at the bottom-right of the page.  Mr. Robot will start providing more than just one set of default stat weights for specs that have multiple common gearing strategies.  Check out blood DKs and bear druids to see how it works!

- improved the algorithm that checks for spurious swapping of gems from your original gear
- found a minor bug in the gear score calculation for tanks due to diminishing returns; thus, you will see very slightly different recommendations with the new version
- if you have 'expensive' enchants turned off, and you are a tank with Mending on your weapon, Mr. Robot will not recommend changing it
- the soft cap on crit for frost mages will now dynamically adjust behind the scenes based on the 2t11 set bonus
- Mr. Robot will give a much more sensible error message if you try to reload a character when the armory is down for maintenance
- locked slots on the best-in-slot tab will now be saved properly with character profiles, and can also be included in permalinks for specific characters

- fixed a bug where sometimes the wrong reforge would be chosen if you have equivalent stats (two stats with equal weights)
- minor corrections made to the following items: heart of rage, insignia of dominance, parasitic bands, impatience of youth
- fixed a bug where sometimes the optimizer would not place all 3 jewelcrafter gems, or sometimes improperly ignore a socket bonus for jewelcrafters
- stats on randomly enchanted items are handled manually, because the armory still does not show them correctly: we made a tweak to fix some rounding errors in our calculation of random item stats

One of our servers crashed: this update should bring a new server online, restoring the site to full speed again.

- Fixed a minor bug where sometimes meta gems would not be activated if your gear is already close to optimal.
- Minor update to the default moonkin spec.
