TEAM ROBOT PRIVACY POLICY

We at Team Robot, Inc. ("Team Robot", “Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”) know that our users (“you,” “your”) care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Policy. By visiting or using the Website or Services in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you hereby consent that we will collect, use, and share your information in the following ways. Any capitalized terms used herein without definition shall have the meaning given to them in the Company Terms of Use.

I. WHAT DOES THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVER?

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that we gather when you are accessing or using our Website.   This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals that we do not employ or manage.

II. WHAT INFORMATION DOES TEAM ROBOT COLLECT?

We gather various types of Personal Information from our users, as explained more fully below.   We may use this Personal Information to personalize and improve our services, to allow our users to set up a user account and profile, to contact users, to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, to analyze how users utilize the Website, and as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy. We may share certain types of Personal Information with third parties (described in this Section and in Section III below).   We collect the following types of information:

A. Information You Provide to Us:

We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us.   For example, we collect Personal Information such as your email address, username and nicknames/character names used in video games. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to register with us or to take advantage of some of our features.   We may anonymize your Personal Information so that you cannot be individually identified, and provide that information to our partners.

B. Information Collected Automatically:

Whenever you interact with our Website, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, “cookie” information, and the page you requested. “Cookies” are identifiers we transfer to your computer or mobile device that allow us to recognize your browser or mobile device and tell us how and when pages in our Website are visited and by how many people. You may be able to change the preferences on your browser or mobile device to prevent or limit your computer or device’s acceptance of cookies, but this may prevent you from taking advantage of some of our Website’s features.

Examples of such information we automatically collect may include Internet Protocol address (“IP Address”), a unique user ID, device and browser types and identifiers, referring and exit page addresses, software and system type, and information about your usage of Team Robot services. Examples of how Team Robot uses automatically collected information include to: a) remember your user information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you access the website; b) monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns; c) monitor and store aggregate site usage metrics such as total number of visitors and pages accessed; d) automatically update the Team Robot application, and e) provide customized advertisements, content and information.

When we collect usage information (such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to the Website), we only use this data in aggregate form, and not in a manner that would identify you personally. For example, this aggregate data tells us how often users use parts of the Website, so that we can make the Website appealing to as many users as possible.

C. E-mail and Other Communications:

We may contact you, by email or other means; for example we may communicate with you about your use of the Website.   If you do not want to receive email or other mail from us, please indicate your preference by contacting us. Please note that if you do not want to receive legal notices from us, those legal notices will still govern your use of the Website, and you are responsible for reviewing such legal notices for changes.

III. HOW DOES TEAM ROBOT USE PERSONAL INFORMATION?

A.   Site operation: Team Robot uses such information to operate, maintain, enhance, provide, create, and develop all of the features, functionality, and services (new or existing); improve your experience with Team Robot by delivering content that we hope you will find relevant and interesting, including advertising and marketing messages; and understand the usage trends of our users.

B.   Communication: We use your email address to communicate with you, including to notify you of account and payment related information, and customer service purposes.

C.   Marketing: Team Robot may periodically send promotion materials or notification related to Team Robot services, if you have opted in to receive these messages. If you want to stop receiving promotional materials, you can follow the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of any email from us.

B.   Affiliated Businesses and Third Party Websites We Do Not Control: In certain situations, businesses or third party websites we’re affiliated with may sell items or provide services to you through the Website (either alone or jointly with us). You can recognize when an affiliated business is associated with such a transaction or service, and we will share your Personal Information with that affiliated business only to the extent that it is related to such transaction or service.

C.   User Profiles and Submissions: Certain user profile information, including without limitation a user’s username may be displayed to other users to facilitate user interaction within the Website. Your username and email address might be used to address your request for Company’s services.

Any content you upload to your public forum profile, along with any Personal Information or content that you voluntarily disclose online in a manner other users can view (on discussion boards, in messages and chat areas, etc.) becomes publicly available, and can be collected and used by others. Your account privacy settings allow you to limit the other users who can see the Personal Information in your user profile and/or what information in your user profile is visible to others.  Your user name may also be displayed to other users if and when you send messages or comments or upload images or videos through the Website and other users can contact you through messages and comments.

D.   Business Transfers: We may choose to buy or sell assets.  In these types of transactions, customer information is typically one of the business assets that is transferred. Also, if we (or substantially all of our assets) are acquired, or if we go out of business, enter bankruptcy, or go through some other change of control, Personal Information would be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party.

V. WHAT CHOICES DO I HAVE?

VI. ADVERTISERS AND ANALYTICS PROVIDERS

We may use third-party Web analytics services in connection with the Team Robot Services, such as those of Google Analytics and marketing campaign analytics. These service providers use a variety of tracking technologies such as cookies that let us analyze how users use the Team Robot Services. The information collected (described above in “Information Collected Automatically”) will be collected directly by these service providers to evaluate your use of the Team Robot Services. For more information on how Google Analytics uses data from our website and how you can control the information sent to Google, click here. To learn about opting out of Google Analytics, please click here. Because these opt outs are cookie-based, please note that if you get a new computer or device, install or start using a new browser, or erase or alter your browser’s cookie file, you may need to opt out again.

Team Robot may allow advertisers, third-party advertising networks and third-party advertising serving companies to serve advertisements directly to you within the website. By serving these advertisements directly to you, these companies can set their own cookies on your computer and trigger their own Web beacons and other tracking technologies to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements, and to collect and track information such as demographic information, inferred interests, aggregated information, and activity to assist them in personalizing the advertising content delivered to you. Team Robot does not provide information that personally identifies you to these third-party ad servers or ad networks without your consent. However, if you respond to an advertisement that targets a certain audience (for example, males age 15 to 18 who have participated in certain promotions), the advertiser or ad-server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience that they were trying to reach.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the tracking technologies and activities of, other advertisers, third-party advertising networks, or third-party advertising servers. You should consult the respective privacy policies of these advertisers, third-party advertising networks, or third-party advertising servers. For more information about third-party advertising networks and similar entities that use these technologies, see http://www.aboutads.info/consumers, and to opt-out of such ad networks’ and services’ advertising practices, for example, Google Analytics advertising features and Google’s use of cookies, go to the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page, the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page, or the Your Online Choices page.

VII. DO NOT TRACK

Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. DNT is a way for users to inform websites and services that they do not want certain information about their webpage visits collected over time and across websites or online services. We are committed to providing you with meaningful choices about the information collected on our website for third-party purposes, and that is why we provide the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out links above. However, we do not recognize or respond to browser-initiated DNT signals, as the Internet industry is currently still working toward defining exactly what DNT means, what it means to comply with DNT, and a common approach to responding to DNT.

VIII. IS PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT ME SECURE?

Team Robot uses a variety of managerial, technical, and physical measures to protect the integrity and security of your information. These measures may vary based on the sensitivity of your information. However, no security precautions or systems can be completely secure. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Team Robot, and you do so at your own risk. We cannot guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

Your account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You must prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer or device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for the Services or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to us or on the Services. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us.

X. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

Under California Civil Code Sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents are entitled to ask us for a notice identifying the categories of Personal Information which we share with our affiliates and/or third parties for marketing purposes, and providing contact information for such affiliates and/or third parties. If you are a California resident and would like a copy of this notice, please contact us.

XI. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make changes in the way we use Personal Information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on our Website, sending you an email, or updating the “Last Updated” date on this page.
