Adaptive Strategy for Sub Rogue giving odd results

I have been using the new Adaptive Strategies for all my toons and have been pleased with the results so far, with the exception of my rogue (which is also my main). Link to my rogue is below:

When I use the Adaptive Strategy - ST for this spec and run a BiB with every item unlocked AMR recommends the following gear combination:

Gearset 1 - Adaptive ST Everything Unlocked

When I run a sim for the above gearset, for a ST Goroth fight it gives me 1,132,195 DPS (link below).

When I run an Adaptive ST with what the rogue community generally agree are the 2 BIS legendaries for sub (Mantle of the Master Assassin and Denial of the Half Giants, as used by vast majority of rogues in the top 200 parses on Warcraftlogs) locked, I arrive at the following gearset:

Gearset 2 - Adaptive ST Shoulder + Wrist Legendaries Locked

And the sim for that gearset is 1167188 DPS.

What is interesting is that when I run a custom Goroth gearing strategy it is giving me a result that selects the Mantle of the Master Assassin and Denial of the Half Giants as the 2 legendaries (sim below) and sims an output of 1180976 DPS.

I’m not sure why, when using Adaptive Strategy - ST for sub rogue, with nothing locked, is giving me a gearset that when simmed has the lowest output of the three gearsets I linked to above but I thought I would bring it to your attention. I know it is challenging to sim the outputs of the legendaries. Should I should just stick to locking in my preferred legendaries when using Adaptive Strategies as it gives the most similar result and simmed output to my custom strategy?

Note also that the stat priorities/scale factors are significantly different between Gearset 1 and Gearsets 2 and 3. Is this supposed to happen?

Would you be able to provide your add-on export?

There was a few small upgrades to adaptive. It helps talents/sets/legendaries interact better. Unfortunately sub rogue hasn’t been updated yet but they’re in the process of updating all the DPS specs and starting healing specs.

I could take a look at in the meantime if you want

I’m running a new sub rogue adaptive strategy, we’ll see if it improves the margin of error on some of these legendary item interactions.

Mantle of the Master Assassin should really be chosen - the second legendary easily falls within margin of error and you can get very similar results with the hands, soul ring, bracers, and symbiote.

The fact that the Mantle wasn’t being selected was really what made me look into it a bit more carefully - I know the others are very interchangeable. I was also curious about the difference in the stat goals/scale factors, I’m guessing that’s because there are significant stat differences between Gearset 1 and Gearsets 2 and 3?

So looking at the string you provided I’m getting Mantle + Bracers.

I’m not sure if you changed your talents from when you ran it originally, it doesn’t look like it. I’m not quite sure what would cause this.

@Swol I ran it and it’s now giving a much more realistic outcome - I’m coming up with Mantle + Belt which is different from @nemo296 above but I can live with that. I have a lot more confidence in it now.
