The aoe calculation seems totally ignoring the best aoe trade ,like a MOST have in M+ the talent Rapid Reload !! any chance you cud guys put on extra gearing strategy for mytich + ?
Post your export string from the addon and I can take a look.
Have you tried the “customize” section? You could tell the optimizer to favor that trait if you prefer.

When I optimize for multi-target with that string, the optimizer picks up one Rapid Reload on your Spaulders of the Primer Emperor. This seems like a good optimization to me. The first Rapid Reload has more value than subsequent ones, so stacking them is probably not going to be optimal.

The string you gave me did not have rapid reload equipped. The optimizer picked it. I had to change the gearing strategy to Multi-Target, but that is the only change I made from the default settings.
Do you have another gear set that is a higher priority that could be messing with the results? Like, if you have a single target BM set also that is set to higher priority, maybe it is reserving the traits on that item for single target?
