Warrior upto date?

Just curious is the warrior all upto date as tier 21 4 set is never suggested nor is bloodbath with convergence of fates, i have run all gear strats and just suprised how far off bloodbath results seem to be. and after studying logs all warriors appear to be priotising this setup above all else.

In the dropdown menu at the top, make sure you have the right gearing strategy selected. It may be using “pre-21” strategies that are no longer appropriate if you are getting new purples.

Make sure you “scroll up” as required to get to the newer strategies, from within that list.

Not quite. Archi in his compendium recommends to align Bloodbath with BattleCry while default rotation for mr.Robot doesn’t operate with this. I tried to modify rotation to align Bloodbath with Battle and overall dps were increased. I can’t say that it is a big difference (1443647 vs 1424490) though. But I think that rotation for Fury needs to be overthinked

Ok so is this post still being looked into, posting in class specific seems to take days for a response. obviously its xmas now so I can appreciate time with family first but when back to business i would like to know, thanks

A couple days I ago we updated adaptive gearing strategies for fury warriors, as well as added a few rotation tweaks. Feel free to try out the latest against your own personal rotation tweaks, see what kind of differences you see now.

yes the bloodbath talent heavily relies on CoF and as Hellbot pointed out bloodbath is saved for Cof all the time, so i think the issue is with CoF still not being valued properly for this build. This should also then increase the importance for 4set that still seems to be ignored.

I don’t play a warrior, I do know how to use the simulator though.

I imported your string and ran BiB, it gives quite different results than what you have equipped. The results it gives are higher than what you have equipped.
After doing that I noticed that you didn’t have Bloodbath selected, which was discussed in the posts after your first post.

I don’t know which talents are best so I did some batch sims of talents.

Links to sims so you can see the gear, I didn’t change it for the M+ script as that would just complicate it further. I’d assume that if you set the Multi Target adaptive strat, choose your AoE talents and then use the BiB result you’d do more damage, however I was interested in the how the talents rate against each other.
Mythic+ | Garothi | Target Dummy (Patchwerk)

Having done that I decided to run some sims to see what the results were. I used the Garothi script with a fight length of 222 seconds, which is about the same as your heroic kills and the script the adaptive strategy is based on.
1644936 DPS What you’re wearing in the export.
1811265 DPS BiB using pre-T21 adaptive. Your gear is high enough you shouldn’t use this, I only did it to see what the result was.
1843714 DPS BiB using Adaptive Single Target, which is the latest one.

Then I changed the talents to what the simulator gave in the batch test and let BiB do it’s thing.
1721413 DPS BiB using pre-T21 adaptive (only run for interests sake).
1799142 DPS BiB using Adaptive Single Target (latest one).

Now that’s interesting, these results are lower than the ones using the talents you had in the export.
Talent comparison using that BiB gear.
It has different numbers but the same talents!
So what’s going on?
We probably need someone better at statistics than me. The standard deviation is about 115k so that will be part of it.

I was also interested in the comments by @hellbot about aligning Bloodbath with Battle Cry, so I chose Bloodbath and ran some sims. On the result page you can look under buffs to see how often things were cast.
1699225 DPS with the BiB gear from Adaptive ST. Buff usage of 5.4 for Battle Cry and 5.6 Bloodbath.
1690645 DPS changing Khaz’goroth’s Courage to CoF. Buff usage of 6.5 for Battle Cry and 6.6 Bloodbath.
1612007 DPS changing Seeping Scourgewing to CoF. Buff usage of 6.5 for Battle Cry and 6.6 Bloodbath.
In those two sims I just swapped the trinket on the sim page.
To me it looks like they’re being used together, you can look through the log for actual timings.

Seeping Scourgewing is, currently, a lot stronger than Khaz’goroth’s Courage so I’ll lock it in and let BiB do it’s thing. It swaps legendaries around but the resulting DPS is very familiar.
1693405 DPS
Interestingly this has 6.6 Battle Cry and 8.7 Bloodbath uses, I don’t know why though. You’d need @Swol to chime in here.

I’ve probably spent more time looking into this than you had @onsie!
I’ve learnt a little bit and avoided playing the game all afternoon, hopefully the step by step process I laid out helps you look into things further.
If you’re really interested/keen people will be able to help you learn how to make, or just adjust, the APL so you can spend much, much longer running sims!

well done Cluey for looking at it and basically coming to the same conclusion as me , the point is, true dps of tier 21 is not being reflected as the talents are not aligning with trinkets usage ect. I have spent alot of time looking at this same as you.

I thought that the site when doing gearing adaptive starts was considering logs for its info, but if we study the warrior then clearly there are a few things wrong.

also ww is priority over raging blow for 2 targets (AMR logs seems to indicate 3) and above, on the opener battlecry and bloodbath with legendary pants and tier 21x 4 means we should be prioitising rampage usage over frothing beserker buff to try get 2 + rampage during battle cry,

I never actually post unless i feel there is something holding back the gearing suggestions for warriors as its what i love to play and i vouch for this site to my guild alot, So well done team and community for keeping it going from str to str and hope we get this resolved soon.

oh the gear on me can be very different to sims at times when loading me due to me questing or doing dungeons ect, ps as warrior running with 250% movement speed is so much fun:)

The current adaptive strategy is based on a rotation I updated a few days ago to make use of the T21 4 piece bonus. If we take a look at a top 100 fury log (I use heroic Varimathras because it is the most pure tank and spank fight in Antorus), we can do some tests.

Here is the log:
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/nWaV8d7TvNMfrtDJ#fight=20&type=damage-done&source=180

Here is a simulation using my default rotation logic:
1975.5k DPS

Here is a rotation that uses Rampage ASAP while Outrage (T21 4pc) is up, regardless of Frothing Berserker:
1954.5k DPS

This shows that you don’t gain DPS by not prioritizing Frothing Berserker during Outrage. You actually lose a little bit.

Now, here’s another test: I swapped out the CoF for a Heroic Antorus trinket (Gorshalach’s Legacy):
1977.0k DPS

Convergence of Fates isn’t as dominant as people believe. It is certainly competitive with Heroic Antorus trinkets, but, it doesn’t dominate them.

Amazing job!
But, there are some strange results. Garothi is a single target encounter and how come that the War Machine talent, which increases haste after killing, performs better than Endless Rage?

Killing one of the weapons probably counts as a kill?

Also you have to run away. But you are right - even 30 seconds of 30% haste will work in 222 seconds fights.

ok I maybe misunderstanding the sims log, but it appears you are using converagance of fates proc in a sim when the trinket is not even equipped, and thus maybe this is why it would recommend Seeping Scourgewing over convergance of fates. ( this is mr robot logs).

As you can see its cast at 2.5 secs into combat then again at 33 secs, the next would be 81 secs.
With no convergance the gap is 50 secs and not reduced in any other way right?

It looks like Odyn’s Champion also reduces the cooldown. I’m not sure if that accounts for the full cooldown reduction in your screenshot. You can filter “battle cry cd mod” in the Info filter and see what effects are taking place specifically.

Yes, Odyn’s Champion will also reduce the cooldown of Battle Cry.

ah yes i remember now it was such a bad proc chance i thought it was worth forgetting lol. thanks for the reminder:
