We need your help! BfA Game Mechanic Testing

This is my problem, it doesn’t even appear in that list Screenshot - 2ed179fc98bd360c667c5fa838f14e5c - Gyazo

And yeah, I was thinking that but without other allied targets around to heal I’d only be healing myself, which means a low proc rate…wait, maybe the Monk Order Hall works. Edit: Nope, can only get 2 other healable targets in range.

Yeah for that kind of mechanic there is no log event. So the way to test is to always use thunder focus exactly when it is available. Then we can look at essence font heals and calculate the cooldown reduction.

Okay, so this probably isn’t helpful because of the variable targets, I went to the Stormwind dummies where there were a bunch of people to start with but they quickly cleared out. So I ended up hitting 3 targets for the most part. Took me a few attempts to get the macros setup but the last 10 minutes are one solid go hitting Thunder Focus Tea/Renewing Mist immediately, delaying the Essence Font cast if there was going to be wasted Cooldown reduction from it.

After you import to the game the gear sets are saved in the default WoW equipment manager, you can just change the weapon there and change gear sets from that too. If it’s Assigned to Specification it will equip that set when you change spec.
If you’re not sure where the gear manager is it’s on the RHS of your character sheet, third tab on tab one. That’s so clumsy to describe. :smirk:
To the right of where you choose a title.

Looking at this log… it seems like the proc chance is somewhere between 10-20%. My guess is that this might use a “deck of cards” proc system like soothing mist uses for gust of mists heals. For now I’m going to implement it as a 30 card deck with 5 procs, which is 16.67% proc chance.

Thanks for the log.

A post was split to a new topic: Seismic Wave Updated

Cheers, I guess that’s a workaround for now, it’s just odd that it doesn’t appear in the list of available weapons at all.

I’m trying to get you a better log, but turns out keeping 5 other people standing still for 10 minutes in an area where I can stay in combat isn’t as easy as I thought. I do like this deck of cards proc system, and it’d make sense they’d add it to more “new” stuff on mistweavers. Seems like a good starting point at least, though the true value of that trait really does lie in the raw healing increase.

Scales with Versatility. For example:

  • 498 Versatility, 6478 shield
  • 355 Versatility, 6375 shield

Hitting multiple targets with a single AS does not increase this value, nor does reapplying the buff with the previous application still active.

Logs

Thanks! I’ll scratch that off the list.

Had this happen, but I am not quite sure what the log is telling me…

Here’s where it started, with an Avenging Wrath: https://hastebin.com/zegeyuzotu.m
At some point I had a Blade of Justice crit (and thus an Expurgation application on the target), and then another application/refresh when the original had about a second left. AW may have expired around that time, not sure how the timing worked out.

Here’s the log lines that only deal with Expurgation (after that AW cast): https://hastebin.com/yajocuneze.m
Avenging Wrath expires just before the 16:40:41.899 tick of Expurgation (in fact its timestamp is also 16:40:41.899).

I can’t make much sense of it. I think the refresh is additive, but I am garbage at reading these logs, so don’t trust me.

Thanks for the log. It looks a little weird, but you got all 6 ticks at full value, so it is most likely a legacy refresh. I’ll leave it as-is and scratch it off the list.

I did a fight against Za’amar the Queen’s Blade while wearing my Helm of Abyssal Malevolence (with Indomitable Justice selected) and no other Azerite pieces with the same trait. At 340, the helm gives me up to 2,708 bonus damage on Judgement, and my Judgment tooltip says that it does 5,076 (though with Mastery procs that would go higher…) Here’s the full log: https://hastebin.com/izebafamix.rb

See if it’s useful to you. If not I’ll do another test, this time without any random procs.

For some reason the link takes me to a blank page instead of the log :frowning: Do you still have it hanging around?

Looks like Divine Revelations triggers off self-heals: https://hastebin.com/moqonuzipa.m

You should be able to see me receive the Divine Revelations buff along with the Infusion of Light, whack the training dummy for a bit, then cast Holy Light on myself and consume the Divine Revelations buff, gaining 400 mana (which is what my 325 Azerite piece said I should get).

So, I don’t know how to interpret the data, but I’ve got the logs. The Azerite piece I had says Radiant Incandescence should be doing an additional 286 damage over 3 seconds. Here’s the full file: https://hastebin.com/yalemakuvu.m

And here’s one of the relevant segments (you can search for the single cast of Aura Mastery in the log, there should be another Radiant Incandescence just before that too): https://hastebin.com/ejizuromis.m

The segment begins with the previous application of RI fading off the training dummy. 5 seconds later I crit with Holy Shock, gaining Divine Purpose and applying RI on the dummy. A second after that RI ticks for the first time but I recast Holy Shock soon after, refreshing RI on the dummy. 4 more ticks of RI follow.

Thanks for the continued tests. I’ll cross these off the list. Looks like a legacy refresh on the Radiant Incandescence.
