WW Monk and Drinking Horn Cover

Greetings,

Been getting this issue since changes to Drinking Horn Cover that is only showing Serenity setting while it does still have Storm, Earth and Fire.

how this affects my character is BiB is telling me to equip Velen’s Future Sight and Cenedril, Reflector of Hatred as my 2 Legendaries when I have Drinking of course as well as Hidden Master’s Forbidden Touch as well as Sephuz’s Secret all 970.

Makes no sense to me to want a Mistweaver Legendary while in Windwalker.

The optimizer and simulator definitely “know” that drinking horn cover works with both serenity and non-serenity builds. That is just a tooltip issue that you are seeing.

The suggestion that BiB is making is totally valid in your case.

Velen’s has huge stats on it for a trinket slot. Compared to legendary items with relatively weak effects, it can be very good. Especially in a multi-target optimization, it will actually be a good choice.

Our data-driven approach to theorycraft is very good at discovering these very not obvious sets of gear that actually perform well.

I understand that Velen’s has huge stats and made me wonder if it might actually be worth it, but given tooltip error it had be concerned that the calculations were being done based on displayed tooltip not actual Legendary performance.
