AskMrRobot addon ver. 58 is not working

Dear Mr Robot.
The addon is blank after update. there is no data inside the addon after downloading/ updating the addon with Twitch

I just tried it and it worked for me… did you try restarting WoW? The post-8.0 version of the addon cannot be updated while WoW is running because some significant settings were changed.

Yes I did, restart wow, and i also did open bags and bank, i alsowent into mr.robot to get the addon there , before twitch had ver. 58 up, still same result. but im game to du it all again deleate and reinstall once more because i love the addon, if it really works for you, then its worth a try

I’m seeing the same problem, no output shown for export, and if I try to import from Best in Bags based upon the armory, the import button doesn’t seem to do anything. I reinstalled from Twitch after exiting the game and restarted the game with the same result. Hoping for a fix or some helpful suggestions.

I’m trying to figure out what is causing this for some people… still haven’t been able to reproduce it.

I tried completely removing the addon and saved variables, and installing fresh, and the export worked as expected. So there must be something specific about some people’s setups causing an issue.

I’m assuming you are not seeing any lua errors?

One thing that might help – could you send me your saved variables for the AMR addon? They are located in a file in your WTF folder, e.g.

C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\MyAccountName\SavedVariables\AskMrRobot.lua

(I can’t remember if you can upload files on the forum or not… if not, you can post the contents of the file to e.g. pastebin.com and link the paste here – you can open lua files with any text editor.)

Another thing that might help – what other addons are you running?

Tried to reinstall it again, with same result
then i deleted it and i also deleted the in-game settings for the addon, and still with same result. its not wortking

expecto, that is interesting… that shouldn’t give an error if you are on the 8.0.1 version of WoW…

Does the lua error still happen if you disable all of your other addons?

edit: I can’t connect to WoW right now, which is making this really hard to test :frowning:

I can export/import but nothing is showing up

Still trying to figure out what causes this for some people. If you look back a few posts, could you send me your saved variables, and tell me which other addons you are running (and try disabling your other addons)?

My wow Version is 7.3.5.26972 im in Europe så i think that’s the problem, all i have to do is waite

Same thing here nothing in export box

I see – yeah if you are not on 8.0.1 version of WoW yet, version 58 of the addon won’t work.

Thank you yellowfive

Im 8.0.1 but nothing is showing up in the addon after I export/import

I’m still trying to narrow down what causes this problem for some users.

  1. Are you getting any lua errors?
  2. Are you running any other addons? If so, which ones? Also, can you try disabling all addons except Ask Mr. Robot and tell me if you have the same problem?
  3. If you don’t have any errors and still get the problem when all other addons are disabled, could you send me your saved variables for the AskMrRobot addon? Instructions in one of my previous posts in this thread for where to find those and how to post them.

No lua errors, im able to export to amr.com, able to import to addon. Nothing is showing up in the addon after import. Unfortunately, blizz auth servers are down so i cant login atm.

After trying to import. Nothing showing in import screen either.
