Trinkets odd suggestions

Unsure if because of update but I don’t think this is correct and it wasn’t suggesting the lost idol or the keepsake until today and suggesting them over a Mythic Track Heart of Wind feels very wrong for a resto Shaman. I just noticed it values an Adventurer Lost Idol over a Mythic Heart of Wind. Yea something got messed up with the update.

I’ll take a look at why that trinket is ranking so high – there was a bug that was making it rank too low, but now it seems too high!

Also it seems to be dumping haste all of a sudden, I was chilling around 18% now it’s dropping all haste for crit.

I have the same issue on my resto drood : ee324a9492af4021ba0b5347a78d7e5e.

ya my bis has completely changed today. And it’s recommending darkmoon fair blood trinket … the trinket where it procs my weakest secondary stats and when a player dies it procs my a increase on my highest stat… not sure a trinket build on players dying should be put as a recommendation as VDH tank lul

When I look at that snapshot, it’s reducing your haste a little bit and getting a little more crit and mastery, but it isn’t “dumping” all your haste.

In general, the model/simulator likes crit/haste for resto shaman. What gear you have available could change the balance between the two, as they seem to be pretty even in value. Every time you get new gear, BiB could find a new optimal solution.

I did not change the resto shaman model/simulator in Tuesday’s update.

Can you give me more information on what you are seeing? When I look at that snapshot, there aren’t very many changes being made to your resto set. Haste/Mastery is what I would expect for a resto druid.

There was a bug causing “lowest secondary stat” effects to not get the proper value that we fixed. We do not model the effect when player’s die on the Blood trinket and embellishment, so that trinket’s value is based only on the lowest stat proc.

I’ll take a look at it and see if something is causing such trinkets (there are only a few) to rank higher than they should.

For tanks in particular, all secondary stats are usually at least decent, so the fact that something triggers your lowest secondary stat isn’t that much of a penalty compared to some other specs.

I was talking about the trinkets that was mentionned by miznamo : Lost Idol of the Hash’ley and Glorious Crusader’s Keepsake. They rank a lot higher than other trinkets.

I think that I found the issue with these trinkets that give dynamic secondary stats – there is a bug causing them to rank too high for tanks and healers. We’ll fix that as well in this afternoon’s update.
