World of Warcraft Midnight Pre-Patch

Wraps still won’t auto equip (wasn’t aware it was being fixed) but the iL in the Activate Eqpt Set still show as pre-patch values.
Values on here are correct.

That said, not played since just after that emergency hot-fix glitch, so…

EDIT:
@yellowfive - Similar but for a lower level character;

I see now – yeah I’m getting the same thing on my character now: the tooltip shows the correct level, but the ilvl shown in the table is incorrect. Note that for my characters though, this is not preventing it from equipping gear for me.

That item level is obtained via Blizzard’s GetCurrentItemLevel method… not sure why it is returning the wrong value, and not sure if there’s much that I can do about it… seems like a Blizzard bug.

Either way, it shouldn’t be interfering with equipping items at least.

To follow up on that display issue, found this post:

Looks like their API is just not returning the correct values.

I can tell you why… it’s because they are using a very messy way to modify item levels on items now. It is not surprising that one part of their code didn’t get updated with the wacky new rules.

Has equipping Reshii Wraps from bags been fixed…??

12.0.1 is live!

There are a lot of spell changes, and the apex talents are now visible on the talent trees.

You will need v169 or higher of the in-game addon to import/export talents correctly.

Roadmap

We have 3 weeks until Midnight officially releases. Now that 12.0.1 is live with more complete spell information, we will be working through all of the new apex talents, set bonuses, etc. leading up to Midnight. Most of the apex talents are not implemented yet, though the user interface and addon should let you pick them correctly now.

Once we have everything working, we hope to release a couple new features within the first month or two of the expansion, so stay tuned!

It’s a transitional time but maybe you should just shut down until the expansion launches because the information given for suggestions now is just absurdity. Please stop.

Part of the problem is that a lot of the abilities are absurdly unbalanced right now (for example, see the hilarious 50% nerf to unholy just after 12.0.0, which they screwed up and actually implemented as a 75% nerf… and which is completely different now in 12.0.1).

You can always use the customization features if you want to do something specific during the pre-patch, otherwise don’t worry too much about it. Things are going to change a lot over the next few weeks as it always does with new expansions.

We just posted an update with v170 of the addon, which fixes an issue where a couple specs talents would not import from the addon.

Each update will also contain a lot of tweaks to our models for the specs, but everything is still in such a state of flux in the pre-patch it’s not worth getting into the details of that until we’re right at the Midnight launch.

Suffice it to say… still lots of bugs! I just spent a while testing the Guardian apex talents set bonuses on beta and they are a mess… too broken to even give you an idea of whether they are good or not. Hopefully it will all get worked out before Midnight!

Update!

We plan to switch the website over to “Midnight mode” on Feb 26th when early access goes live.

This will re-enable the Upgrade Finder, and also switch over to using Midnight gems, enchants, etc.

We should have a preliminary estimate for most new trinkets, crafted embellishments, and other special effects by then, though some will still need testing and adjustments going into the first couple weeks of the expansion.

Blizzard is still making a lot of changes, so we will continue to iterate our models based on that.
