I have an 890 Gnawed Thumb Ring with a socket, and AMR is still saying it’s better than my 950 Antorus rings. Is this really still true? How often do I have to use the on-use effect in a fight for this to stay true? If it isn’t, how do I keep it out of my rankings? Should I post my most recent full gear export?
Rings and necks can be weird, especially if the stats aren’t great for you, but you’d have thought 60 levels worth of extra stats would eventually outweigh that. If you copy the full export from the add-on and paste it here I’m happy to run BiB from here and see if I get the same results. I’m sure Yellow etc. would need to see the string to check for bugs as well.

Using your export it’s not suggesting the ring to me, I looked at both adaptive raid and M+ options.
Are you using an old custom gearing strat?
Try using the new Raid Healing strategy instead of the Pre-T21 strategy, it should rank better with your ilvl gear.
I"m interested to hear how this turns out. I"m still getting the gnawed thumb ring too. I checked my gear settings and sure enough I was out… Had Pre-T21 instead of Raid Healing, so that fixed my problem where it wasn’t picking up my 4 set… BUT I’m still getting the Gnawed Thumb Ring

I am a complete novice when it comes to gear, it is NOT my strength so I rely on your site a lot.
I think in your case it’s right on the edge… could really go either way. The Gnawed Thumb Ring has mastery, which is being favored a bit higher than other stats, and none of your other rings do, so that closes the gap a bit. The on-use effect is not huge, but it does average out to ~0.5% extra HPS over a fight if you use it on cooldown.
How that separate 0.5% multiplier interacts is a bit different than your stats… it will be worth slightly more than any individual stat.
That said, if you aren’t good at using on-use effects, you’ll probably be better off with your higher ilvl rings.
