Hi there, Ret-Pala here (Starheart, EU-Stitches, WoW-Classic HC).
AMR recommends to equip “Edged Bastard Sword of the Eagle” - but it is already equipped.
Funny: when i switch to Holy-Specc AMR itself recognises this and shows the Sword correctly in the equipped-Side on the left. When i switch back to Ret-Specc AMR shows a blank slot as if i haven´t equipped a wepon at all.
Edit 1: It seems that this does not effekt only my weapon, but other equipped items as well. So far AMR ignores / doesn´t recognise: chest, wrist, hands, waist, legs and feet as well
Edit 2: Here´s the String from InGame:

Ok, I believe I was able to solve this issue with a /reload.
Now AMR is recognising my Equipment correctly.
Problems that solve themselves are my favorite kind!
If the issue comes back just let us know and we’ll look into it.
Yeah, mine too.
However - sadly the problem has come back.
This time a reload didn´t help.
AMR only recognizes my equipped items in Holy-Specc, but wrong in my other Speccs:
Holy:
Ret:
Prot:
Actually equipped:

So the gear shown on the left is the last gear that we saw on your character the last time you exported with a talent setup that we detected as that spec.
For example if you have mostly Protection talents chosen, we’ll detect that Protection is probably your spec in-game right now, and then we’ll update your last-equipped Protection gear on the website (which shows up on the left side of Best in Bags). We won’t touch what you see on the left side for Retribution or Holy – they will stay at the last thing we saw.
Hopefully that makes sense – so in this case my guess is that you are always exporting with Holy talents, so only your last-seen gear for Holy is getting updated.
Hi there and merry X-Mas!
Hmm… if that is true - why does AMR somtimes show my gear correctly, even thoug I haven´t any Talent-Points in that tree whatsoever? For example today AMR is recognising my gear correctly again in the Prot-Setup - even though I haven´t got any Points in the Prot-tree at all:
Couldn´t it rather be a delay of some sort? Does AMR need some time (a few hours / days) to “learn” the equipped gear from the first assumed / detected specc (in this case “Holy”) and transfer that knowledge over to the other Specc-Options (Ret/Prot)?
There is no delay – everything is scanned at the moment you open the Export tab of the in-game addon, and when you import to our website we use that data to update what is on our servers instantly.
I would have to check when I can work again (have family in town atm), but it could be having trouble fully detecting your spec because this is a low-level character without a complete talent build. A lot of the website logic is focused on end-game characters. It generally works fine while leveling up, but sometimes you can get a few minor issues.
That said… what is shown on the left side should not generally impact the optimization result in cases like this – you’ll see the same set of recommended gear on the right/optimized side even if you had different gear equipped before the optimization ran in all but the rarest of cases.
