So this is a similar case that another user posted the other day…

The problem is that your current gear is invalid according to your settings: you have one on-use trinket equipped, but you have specified that the optimizer cannot choose any on-use trinkets. Thus, it cannot find a better-scoring solution that is valid.

Putting an enchant on your ring would certainly improve your score… but it’s still an invalid solution. The only way to make it valid would be to swap out your trinket, and then your overall score would go down.

In cases like this we just leave your gear as-is.

I might look into at least doing some gem/enchant optimization even if you start from an invalid setup… but really you should make your settings at least as permissive as what you have actually done in-game.

Is it possible to implement a check for this? For example, the user has an On Use trinket equipped, but the settings are set to not use any. Maybe then show up an error, or warning, that this will make AMR not function properly and suggest to either remove the On Use trinket or bump up the setting to at least match.

Yeah showing a warning is an option if doing something else ends up causing its own problems or being too ambiguous.

Oh. That is really interesting. I agree that a warning would be great.
Thank you for your help
