Just wondering why AMR recommends very little haste while other places wants lots of haste.

That is interesting… I’ll look into it. There are some setups where our optimizer will get a decent amount of haste, but I am seeing other sources of information claiming haste is by far the best stat… I’ll have to think about why that would be - I haven’t seen an explanation anywhere.
I did some work on this - going to try to finish it up today. Turned out to be a pretty interesting case which illustrates how touchy stat choices in WoW can be. For some specs, you can swing your stats wildly towards one stat or another and still stay within a few % of the theoretical maximum.
Just FYI - I’m still working on this. I have tried a lot of different refinements to my calculations to get the spell breakdown even closer to what I’m seeing in logs. I’m still not seeing haste come out as a clear winner, so I’m continuing to refine further before I summarize my findings and update the live site scoring function.
It is looking like the relative value of the stats for arcane are very close together, in reality (and I have seen some sources out there suggest this as well), so pushing the model to favor one over another is a very touchy thing. I am seeing very high parses with arcane mages using high haste/mastery. I’m also seeing high parses with people that have even crit/haste/vers and low mastery. It does not appear that there really is a clear winner in stats for arcane.
It’s fun to refine the calculations regardless. Right now I feel like what I have leans too hard into crit, even though that would probably be fine. I’d like to hit that sweet spot where we go for more balanced stats.
I feel that high haste also plays more fluidly than low haste builds. Not sure how you would quantify that for a sim though.
