Thank you for the data string, but they are intended for local use compared to the full replication that a Snapshot ID affords.

Please can you generate & post a character specific Snapshot ID by clicking any of the ‘Get Support’ tabs in the Optimiser & posting the 32-character code that appears, as a reply to this thread?

Here it is and just to add. I noticed some weird things with this going back a couple of months already now. Best in bag was recommending 2 handers over items with better stats and higher ilvl, 1 handers. I understand it’s complicated and a lot goes into these sims, but it still seemed off to me at the time, I didn’t really bother with it. I choose to just ignore it to go with the 1 handers as this character is a RP mog of Yoda and uses lightsaber weapons. But this is a pretty extreme case that highlights it.

That does look pretty extreme. We will look into it. Yellowfive is the windwalker expert this expansion, so we’ll have to wait until he gets back - he’ll look at it Monday. Sorry for the delay - we usually strive to resolve this kind of thing within 24 hours, but even we have to go on vacation once in a while

I’ll have a fix for this in an update sometime tomorrow. I have it fixed but I need to test it a bit more against other specs that it might impact.

The optimizer is getting the correct score if you e.g. limit it to optimizing just one-handers or just two-handers via the “Weapon Preference” option in the Best in Bags setup step. It is running into a caching issue when doing an optimization that tries both at the same time though. Short version is that there is an ambiguity when it tries to score a set of gear with no weapons equipped (which can happen internally as it is building up solutions to try)… in one place it considered this “two hander” and in another “dual wielding” when in fact it is neither, which created a weird result.

I’m not 100% sure I can trust this. Again I get these things are complicated. But 20ish item levels? I dont have that 237 anymore but still is dual wielding just terrible for windwalker?

Personally I’ve always played WW as Dual-Wield, reserving a 2H for BM, maybe healer.

Potentially… ‘out of date’ data export from the game?

If, as you say, that iL237 2H is no longer in your inventory, open all your bank slots (for sanity; opening your Bank may well be enough) & do a fresh export to the Optimiser… any item that is no longer available to be optimised should then no longer appear in you Weapons lists.

Also; do you actually have four of the same (iL) Weapon…?

That lead me to think that you data import may have been 'compromised.

Yeah so I opened all bank slots and cleared browser cookies. Though I do have 4 of those war bound in the war bound bank. I do have exclude war bound items clicked though and they still show. Its a mystery

I’m just having a hard time believing that a 2 hander 22ilvls below is better then a dual wielding unless dual wielding is just fundamentally bad for Windwalker. I mean I might be able to buy it with a very bad trinket vs a 22 ilvl lower bis trinket but on weapons? So either I am wrong and have no idea. Something is still wrong with AMR or somehow someway there is something going on locally. I mean its pretty close to irrelevant right now end of season and a pretty small percent but its more of a trust thing. As suggested I opens all bank slots and even took it a step further cleared browser cookies and relogged in.

I’ll take a look – when I tested this case it used the dual-wield setup as expected, so I’ll see why it isn’t in your snapshot.

I looked into this a little more… and I’m actually seeing the two hander score slightly higher. It’s pretty close… different talent builds make your one-hander combo score a little better.

In general, two-handers seem to be a little better for windwalkers right now. There isn’t very much damage that relies on off-hand damage, or anything that benefits from the faster attacks of dual-wielding. Everything that would seem to favor dual-wielding (like dual threat or flurry charges) have adjustments to make using a two-hander either equal or better.

So then the higher main hand DPS of two-handers ends up being a straight-up improvement in most cases.
