Receiving a blocked popup after logging in to WoW.
“AskMrRobot has been blocked from an action
only available to the Blizzard UI.
You can disable this addon and reload the UI.”
It can be ignored but I can’t tell what action is being blocked so it seems like a bug to me.
Which action, and which version of the addon? I have not run into this message on any of my own characters.
Edit, sorry you said you can’t tell which action – to my knowledge our addon doesn’t do anything that should be blocked… would be nice if Blizzard would give some more info on this one…
As another followup… this particular error can sometimes be attributed to the wrong addon – our addon tends to be first in the list alphabetically, so sometimes ends up being the scapegoat.
Do you have other addons installed? The first thing that I would try is disabling all of your addons, log in, see if you get no error. You probably won’t. If you do… then Blizzard has an error, not any of your addons.
Then, I would enable just one of your addons, log in, see if you get an error. If not, log out and disable it and then enable another addon. Repeat with each of your addons. This should isolate which addon is actually causing the error.
Thanks for the quick response. I’ll try what you suggest. So far I only see that popup on my Ret Pally. I’ll try to narrow it down.

I found the reason that popup for me. It was addon Quartz. After disabling Quartz popup has gone.

Yeah it is very easy for addons to unintentionally mess with each other with how Blizzard has written their addon framework… this particular error tends to pop up every time there is a major expansion, then it takes addon authors a few days to figure out what it is that Blizzard doesn’t like all of a sudden.
