I tried using the BiB on my DK level 110 that just got it’s Heart of Azeroth and it’s first azerite gear to check which azerite trait to select. And the BiB is trying to make me equip some of the green BoE level 120 items that i got from my main, which is simply impossible.

I am also having this problem. I am full of boes on my bags that i want to get the xmog but cant equip yet and it totally breaks the char optimization.
A workaround would be to send those boes to a bank toon and leave it there while leveling.
That’s the thing, i’m keeping them for leveling purpose since i intend to use them once i can equip them if i have nothing better for their slots, and going back and forth between characters each time i get a new level is quite a bother, especially when you have a lot of characters to level up. I’d be better if there was a level check between the character and the item required level but i suppose that the optimizer is made mostly for max level characters.
I’ll take a look… the item data has no required level to equip those items, so the game must be getting it a different way… maybe the level you were when one of these BoE drops is also used as the required level to equip it.
That is the case, looted BoE greens always seems to have the same level requirement as the level your character got them, i think it is something about the item level, you always get items with an item level that correspond to your current level, so on lower level character they can’t normally get such high item level thus a level lock is applied.
I am also having this issue, but my issue is I made some 120 blue items I intend to use upon 120 if I have nothing better, but it’s suggesting them now (I’m only 114) for my BiB results

Ok – yeah no requirement on the item data… so we’ll have to manually add a level requirement for those crafted items.
You can leave it in your mailbox … you would have to check it again every level.
AFAIK AMR won’t check mailbox for items.
