BiB not working correctly for Fire Mage spec

Hi,
Just noticed that BiB doesn’t appear to be weighting certain items correctly for my Fire Mage spec, although it does appear correct for Frost and Arcane.

Specifically, it is recommending much lower item level pieces for neck, chest and gloves, and the corresponding values in the pull downs are way off (not sure it is working correctly on the others though, as I don’t have similar high item level pieces/low level pieces to compare in all slots).

I went back through my set up, and there doesn’t appear to be anything different there between my specs.

Thanks as always for the assistance.

We will take a look at it – something strange is definitely going on in this case.

I found the issue causing this weird result. We’ll post a fix for it. I’m still working on the fire mage model some more, so the final results once we update for TWW will look different, but this wacky reduction in score has been fixed.

I just posted a site update that should resolve this issue. You may need to re-import your character and optimize again to see the updated result.

Thanks for the help; seems to be working as intended now.

Doesn’t seem to be resolved… still weighting items incorrectly.

What is weighted incorrectly?

Some things to note: you have no talents selected in that snapshot for the fire raid setup. That could be a cause for weirdness.

Also, I have completely updated the fire mage code for TWW, so at this point I can’t make changes to the live version - merging the code would be impossible unfortunately.

I tried utilizing the last imported talents but it doesn’t load the talents… I would have to reference the game and select all my individual talents manually.

I figure empty is not a correct upgrade? It’s doing this on both of my mages.

I tried manually clicking talents and it is displaying more correct results. The two downgrades are a little odd but still better than it was (I think its for trying to hit stat targets when I clicked on random talents (Extra Crit and Mastery))

I have 19 lvl 70s and none of my other classes without talents selected are having this weirdness… But now I know how to manually fix it for my mages…

I have noticed with fire mages that the spec does not function without a full talent build, which is why you would definitely get weird results. There are many talents mid-tree that can result in a DPS loss when you do not have a full talent build.

The desired stats for fire mages change significantly based on whether or not you have improved combustion - that talent alone basically decides whether or not you want to gear for crit.
