If I understand correctly, in either single trait or trait stacking, Steady Aim is a better trait to select over Last Gift but BiB is suggesting I use Last Gift. Is this a correct suggestion?

I ran my setup through raidbots and it says Steady Aim over Last Gift in terms of DPS output.
If you post the string of data you copy from the addon to the website (not the other way around), we can see what you are seeing on the website and look closer.
We use a different simulation model than raidbots, so sometimes it will come up with slightly different results. Chances are that they will be similar, but don’t be surprised if they are not exactly the same.
You could check it out using our simulator and see what it says, though even then, we don’t really recommend using “point” simulations to make gear choices. Our approach uses millions of simulations as a base set of data, then we run a statistical analysis of that data, which powers the gear optimizer. What you end up with is much faster (near-instant optimizations) and generally less “finicky” than using a simulator directly.

when I used your string it came out looking normal, tried lots of different settings/talents and couldn’t get it to recommend Last Gift no matter what I put in :x
I notice there are different talents in those screenshots, I’m not a hunter expert myself, but would that make a difference?
