(when reffering to DPS, I’m referring to the DPS the simulator puts out with default settings)
I’ve noticed quite a big difference between the DPS as achieved by using the Best in Bag equip as suggested by AMR, and a best possible set as determined by running mass simulations.
Character in question: Foxyeyes-Alleria (EU)
I’m running with the “One with the Pack” talent, which makes the Crit value incredibly important.
(Icy-Veins for example sets 30% of Crit chance as a must have)
now, when i get the best in bag set and simulate that, i get 39425 DPS (https://www.askmrrobot.com/wow/simulator/report/1932243167ef48818d3386115e25d547)
when changing a trinket, which has a small dmg proc but a static crit in crease, the result comes up with 39624 DPS (https://www.askmrrobot.com/wow/simulator/report/9f1d52bf7a804e04a30765a439792690)
this could be due to errors, deviation etc, all accepted.
Now I’ve run a batch simulation with roughly 92k setups (https://www.askmrrobot.com/wow/simulator/report/e19c3faaefba4c68a3fecadd15ce1a44)
and when I now set up the simulation with the top result, i then get 40449 DPS (https://www.askmrrobot.com/wow/simulator/report/2fe3aff90803467eac28e6b059f6d7b8)
, which is roughly 1k more than the default Best in Bag suggestion.
Is there an error in my simulation setups?
Or is there a reason (beyond “not implemented yet”) for AMR preferring haste even when the “One with the Pack” (2:1) talent is specified?
