Wrong string, a lower geared player needed help w a quest and the tank left the party. I had to have my pet tank. This is a MM string.

better yet please look at my logs on the site. they are public. I’m very frustrated at this point. Starting not to be fun and that’s crazy because this is a great game

And comparing it to a sim of similar length - Not Available

The thing that stands out is that you cast 27 Kill Commands in that example. The sim managed… ~54. That’s a huge difference. I’m not a master of log analysis, but it looks to me like you’re not taking advantage of Killer Cobra. During Bestial Wrath, you want to make sure to alternate Cobra Shot and Kill Command to maximize that damage. I would start there.

Yes I saw that too, I am being too conservative w my focus to make sure that I cast as many Kill as possible. Take a look at the mythic EN if you would be so kind. There was an excellent BM in there that hits !00% efficiency. I looked at our logs side by side and it seemed I wasn’t doing all I should. I am pretty new (since May) and he is geared a 20pts higher w 4-P Serpent. I want to correct any bad habits now if possible. Thank you so much for looking.

It looks like nobody uploaded a log from your Mythic Emerald Nightmare run, so there’s nothing for me to look at, I apologize.

My understanding of BM is that you use these abilities whenever they are up, in this priority:

Bestial Wrath
Aspect of the Wild (If Bestial Wrath is active)
A Murder of Crows
Dire Beast
Titan’s Thunder
Kill Command
Cobra Shot (When you’re close to capping focus, or Bestial Wrath is up - to take advantage of Killer Cobra)

It is a little more complicated than that, to get the most out of the spec, as seen here in the AMR rotation - (Not Available)

But as it stands I wouldn’t worry about that too much until you get a little more practice.

Using that Garothi example I linked above, you can compare when you used abilities in the log to when the sim used the abilities:

Sim: Not Available - Expand the “Log” section, uncheck the “All” checkbox, and then check the “Cast Success” checkbox.

It looks like you used a whole lot of Cobra Shots (and a Multi-Shot), when you should have been using Kill Command - Cobra Shot - Kill Command - …etc, until Bestial Wrath ended. You should also make sure to not use Titan’s Thunder until you’re done casting Dire Beast, the more Dire Beasts you have out, the more damage Titan’s Thunder will do!

Okay, I see it now. Looks like my advice still stands.
Comparing you to the other Hunter, he used 39 Kill Commands, to your 13. And he used 60 Cobra Shots, to your 19. There are some other discrepancies like that as well, like Dire Beast casts.

You also spent almost 40 seconds not doing anything, which certainly did not help.

I’m not familiar with the effects of Tier, Legendaries, and Trinkets on BM Hunters. But I do know that you need to be always hitting your abilities on cooldown, as I described above. That’s where you should start.
