Cheaper Enchants option

When I select to use cheaper enchants, it still uses Radiant stuff compared to the Glimmering counterparts.

Same with the Whisper vs Chant enchants.

I am unsure if this is a simple bug or if I have some weird setup that’s causing it.

So it uses the Chant of Armored Speed because you have it on your item already.

For the rings… I think that the “cheaper” setting might only be excluding the “cursed” enchants.

I could go either way on that setting… we set it up during beta and it is hard to get a feel for how expensive various enchants will be.

The servers are down for maintenance right now, but when they come back up I can take a look and adjust that setting based on current prices for the various enchants.

I went and reviewed costs on our server currently. We’ll make these changes with the next site update:

  • It seems that there are no reasonably-priced chest or feet enchants available right now… so we just won’t suggest enchants in those slots with the “cheaper” option – not worth the gold.

  • Weapon enchants are expensive… but are the only enchants really worth the cost. It seems the “authority” enchants are significantly more expensive except Storms, so “cheaper” will exclude Authority of Air, Authority of Fiery Resolve, and Authority of the Depths.

  • Back, Wrist, and Rings all have cheap options that are reasonable. For rings the Radiant and Cursed are equally expensive and will be excluded by the “cheaper” option.

  • The Leg slot has a cheap-ish option available to everyone. The expensive tailoring spellthreads seem to be significantly more expensive than the Stormbound Armor Kit for str/agi specs. So “cheaper” will include only the Stormbound Armor Kit, Dual Layered Armor Kit, and Weavercloth Spellthread.

edit: Probably the best option to save gold is to go down to Tier 2 enchants. You don’t really lose that much on most of them… and they cost significantly less.
