The BIS tab shows several items of equipped gear as crossed-out to be replaced with a BIS upgrade, but from what I can tell, the only difference is that the equipped crafted gear has a “+2 Sparkle” on it (whatever that is). All of the other stats are identical including iLevel, enchants, gems, etc. Is this intentional? I would think the +2 Sparkle adds nothing and should be ignored for upgrades and BIS determination. Thanks.
I’m not sure what “+2 Sparkle” even means… could you post a snapshot? You can do that by pressing the “help” link next to the big “Best in Slot” or “Best in Bags” section header on our website, then copy and paste the 32-digit code here.
Does the “+2 Sparkle” appear on your items in-game?
here is the code: fe80e2853376484b81f0806cb502578c
Yes, the “+2 Sparkle” shows up on the gear in-game. You can see it on the 681 crafted cloak, wrist, and boots. The wrist BIS has a different gem, but the cloak and boots look identical to me.
Thanks
I guess?
That must be it. It’s used to remove an embellishment on a re-craft. I didn’t realize it added the +2 sparkle which is meaningless. Can AMR ignore this when determining BIS or upgrades?
I see – so they add a meaningless equip effect… “fun”.
I’ll see if we can add an exception for that – it is a bit annoying how they implement it so we have to add some safeties such that if they decide to randomly change things a year from now it doesn’t cause a problem.
