Thanks, I’ll take a look at why it seems to always be sticking with the already-equipped gems, that’s weird.
I think that we should have the scaling on the effects correct… e.g. if you look at the tooltips on our site, they should match what you see in-game when you hover over the socketed gems in the UI for modifying the ring (not the tooltip for the gem in your bag, which has some not-useful value).
I’m still not sure how the extra effect of the mastery gem works… if anyone has any details let me know.
My time to work on things will be limited until after the 25th, so it might be a few days before we can do any site updates.
Did an experiment with just Stormbringers runed citrine and fathomdwellers Runed Citrine.
To me it seems that it follows the mastery stat in an linear manner. started out naked with jsut Cyrces Circlet equipped. scaling start already whenboth gems are equipped so their own stat counts towards the scaling.
My guess it scales all other gems in same linear manner
Same but using thunderlords crackling citrine and squall sailors citrine with fathomdwellers runed citrine.
All data is gathered from the ingame tooltip. Vers seems to not affect this number
BiS doesn’t suggest Cyrce’s Circlet at all, but I guess the ring still need some extra work for Mr. Robot?
Also, sites like Wowhead (Best Cyrce's Circlet Citrine Gems for All Classes - War Within Patch 11.0.7 - Wowhead News) and Icy Veins (Shadow Priest DPS Gear and Best in Slot - The War Within (11.0.7) - World of Warcraft - Icy Veins) suggest “Legendary Skipper’s Citrine” for the wind socket, but AMR tells me to use “Windsinger’s Runed Citrine” (for shadow priest).

Thanks a lot for this! We’ll update our model of it when we get a chance sometime in the next few days. It’s possible that I’ll have a little time tomorrow to work on a few things with this ring.
for my bear, the ring is suggested in bis, even with the gems. although i have all the gems, the ring is only shown in bib at position 10 without gems, so it is never suggested and i can’t fix it on the slot either.
We posted an update that should resolve a few issues around this ring. It should give much better rankings now. I updated the estimates for the Fathomdweller’s Runed Citrine based on the tests that @reppan did, thanks for that!
@ragowit For now I valued Legendary Skipper’s Citrine as an average of the values of the effects that it can trigger, assuming it is completely random which it triggers and that it can trigger all of them. For the stat gems, it is my understanding that it triggers a 15 sec buff with the same effect (multiplied by 1.5x).
It should be a pretty fair ranking if these assumptions are good, but I couldn’t find a ton of information on that one either.
@maikteison Don’t worry about where the circlet shows in the list of items for that slot – when Best in Bags actually optimizes, we try every possible combination of gems and choose the best one. We might try to update the ranking in that list at some point to avoid confusion, but there’s a bit of a technical issue that makes it a pain, and it’s not important for Best in Bags to work properly so we’re skipping it for now.
As far as I know, the final data should be very different from the actual results, this is my panel, without any BUFF bonus, but the simulation shows this panel. If the numerical influence on the simulation leads to the direction of equipment allocation, is the simulation result reliable?
The above is a machine rollover.

Mastery values affect the bonuses offered by Fathomdweller’s Runed Citrine, for example, carrying Windsinger’s Runed Citrine at the same time causes his values to change
From what i see its simming the ring suboptimally.
Right now its only simming for top prio spec/build I have it set as (WW m+)
for the other lower prios the ring is counted as “spent” but swapping gems is free.
So imo the ring should be open for all prio and gem swaps

New week, upgraded my ring to ilvl 645. Here’s some gems socketed in the ring if you want to double check some numbers.
Allowing the gem to be re-socketed for every setup is still on my todo list – my time is a bit limited due to the holiday though.
@xxt1406014219 We did an update that should value the Fathomdweller’s Runed Citrine special effect when performing optimizations. It won’t be reflected on the tooltips for the other gems though – that is just a display limitation and won’t impact the optimization result.
New week, these are some stats for the gems socketed in a 649 ring.
Thanks – our site should be showing the proper tooltip values for the gems at any item level. If you find any in-game that don’t match what is showing on the website, let us know.
@reppan We’ll be back from the holidays and do an update tomorrow that will stop higher-priority setups from locking the gems on cyrce’s circlet for lower priority setups.
That’s why I have been posting the images, the value on AMR is wrong.

Ok – I’ll take a look tomorrow, perhaps they adjusted the coefficients a bit over the holidays. We’ll extract new data and see what’s up.
I’m sorry, probably me at fault. The stats on the gems is increased by my own mastery from other gear. Didn’t think about that.
AMR doesn’t display this, which maybe confused me.
