- a recommendation from another optimisation app./site…?
- What Blizzard have said ‘must be used’…?
AMR use a very comprehensive set-up to make the recommendations - for that is ALL any optimisation app./site can give - it offers; if you KNOW better, then you may wish to consider that AMR’s recommendations are not for you & look for a app./site that offers better ‘bias confirmation’.
Any optimisation app./site that “tells you what stat. priority to use” is doing you a disservice.
I also accept that English may not be your first language & that the wording used here is somewhat lost in translation.
These stats are probably what’s recommended in other sites or the Discord. It’s also just what the top DH tanks are using according to archon.gg. Often these stats do feel based on damage output as it’s pretty important later on for the tank to contribute a lot as long as they aren’t dying lol.
But to @brokencode421, in the strategy settings below try moving the slider more towards dps and see if it matches closer to what you want to see. That said, AMR has been great for tank survivability in my experience. If you aren’t struggling to live though, move that slider toward dps.
@ekstren hit the nail on the head: if you want a crit/haste-heavy build for most tank specs, you are implying that you want a damage-oriented tank build.
We give you the flexibility to go for that more DPS-oriented build or a more toughness-oriented build. Most guides present the DPS-heavy build as the only “right” approach (with no explanation that it is in fact a DPS-heavy build).
Both styles work well – by default we lean towards a toughness build as it is a safer approach for more casual players. As you become comfortable or start to out-gear content, you can switch it more to DPS.
