Rec. of 2 unique-equipped; it was doing fine until I added the hunter-specific uncommon bow heirloom w/ 2 built-in gem slots to my leveling gear set, I expect it’s a corner case.
And after gemming my bow with a diamond, the optimizer still recommended another diamond for a ring:

I’ll take a look – I wasn’t aware that there were non-neck slots that could have multiple sockets in Dragonflight, so it’s probably getting hung up on that.
Side note: you can get around the issue by locking in a non-unique gem to one of the slots on your weapon.
