Efficient crest updates

Hello, Is there a way in the tool to target specifically to upgrade your gear so you can get full gear in 282 to get achievement “Adventurer of the Mist” so that i can convert all adventurer crest I get to veteran crest. And of course for the higher levels as well.

the other achievements would be:

  • “Veteran of the Mist” all gear at 295
  • “Champion of the Mist” all gear at 308
  • “Hero of the Mist” all gear at 321
  • “Myth of the Mist” all gear at 331 (this isn’t relevant for the tool)

That would be a great addition to your tool, just to get more efficient use of your crests

I must admit, I have wondered if this was a possibility; I just took the list of the options shown as a priority list.

We do track whether you have those achievements so that we can calculate the proper discounts and things when doing the cost ranking in the crest search.

As for a specific optimization that targets reaching an item level threshold above all else… we can give that some thought.

I think the logic would go something like… do whatever upgrade gets the most ilvl increase per adventurer crest spent in each slot. If you were to do that manually right now it would look like:

  1. Do a crest upgrade finder search
  2. Filter the results to a specific slot, for example Head
  3. If you don’t already have a 282+ item in Head, do the cheapest upgrade that would get you a 282 item in that slot
  4. Repeat for all slots

(There is of course the annoyance of rings and trinkets where you need two items at 282+, and then weapons are their own thing for a lot of specs… you can cheat a bit and get a 2-hander to 282+ for a spec like Frost DK instead of having to get two 1-handers to 282+ I believe.)

Short of doing this specific optimization, one easier thing we could add is showing you what the game reports as your current ilvl earned in each slot, so that you know which ones you need to upgrade to get the specific achievements. That could be a decent low-effort stop-gap for something like this.

Hi, ye that’s pretty much what I do now, but, that takes a while (specially with alts). Your suggestion might be a nice addition if it’s not that much effort to make. I think i have a macro that shows it (but in chat it isn’t easy to view), but if your tool can like show it somewhere might be easier.

Thx in advance
