I have been wondering that for most of the expansion as well. It certainly has the potential to do the most single target damage. I think it is under rated for enhance.
I think the other guys out there don’t like it because it is harder to use in multi target situations where there is a ramp up time getting flame shocks out there to make use of it. Most players will have a hard time getting max value in these situations. And certain fights with low health adds will leave you lower on the meters.
I think a necrolord flame nova build would be fun, although tough to pull off.
