I just spent quite a bit of gold on enchants and gems based on AMR recommendations. After equipping gems and enchantments, I pasted my data back into AMR simply to update. AMR is now telling me COMPLETELY different gems and even some gear, which makes zero sense. Is anyone else seeing this?
I have not seen this as a general issue.
There are some reasons why it could happen, though. I would need to know more about the exact steps you took when updating your gear. Seeing a snapshot would also help a lot (use the “help” link just above the Best in Bags gear table to generate a snapshot and post it here).
I need to know what “completely” means. Do you mean that gems/enchants are now being suggested to be something different? Or, are actual items changing in/out? Is the general stat breakdown similar?
When you updated your gear per the suggestions, did you do ALL the changes? And, did you make the changes with the exact quality of gem/enchant suggested? Or, did you not make every change and/or use some different quality level gems/enchants?
Are you sure your talents are the same as the ones you initially optimized with? Is the spec priority the same as what you originally optimized with?
These are the types of things that could significantly affect the optimization result. It won’t suggest a different result unless the settings/input changed in some way. It is possible that something changed which you did not notice, so lets see if we can figure out what it was!
The other possibility is if you did the optimization and exported to the addon before a site update, and then came back after an update. One I see your setup, I can probably tell if that was the case.
