This this thread is about this bug already and contains every information needed to replicate this, I fail to see the point in creating another post.
And for the site unable to detect a spec. The problem is not about the spec in the first place.
Lets look at the given data.
- we have a character that wears equipment.
- this char hast most of his points spend in feral.
By looking on his spend points, it is clear, he is either guardian or feral. This is very common for a Guardian raider in TBC. Just as it is very likely for a balance druid starting to heal if needed.
Karazan has a lot bosses that reqire just one tank, so it is not unusualy to take turns with co tanks.
But the issue is not the spec. The issue is that amr fails to recognise the equiped gear for feral and for guardian. That is the issue you need to solve. You have all date to reproduce the issue.

I donât think that I explained it very wellâŚ
When I import the string in your post, it detects you as âFeralâ, and thus it updates the gear displayed on your Feral setup. It does not change your Guardian setup at all â it leaves it as-is. It imports all of your gear correctly, I see gear equipped in all of your slots on your Feral setup that matches what was in the import.
The issue is that right now, it will probably never detect you as Guardian when you import, so the equipped gear on your Guardian setup will never get updated. Our next update will have some more code to try and better determine whether you are currently Feral or Guardian upon import. It will look at your idol, and how much Defense you have on gear to take a better guess.
With that, it will probably detect you as Guardian, and thus update the equipped gear on your Guardian setup when you import. Weâll make a post when this update is available, probably sometime later today.

After reading this thread I found a simple fix. I put on my DPS set which uses wolfshead helm. Then i changed the helmet to the Helm of the claw. Then I exported the config to askmrrobot. The system created two specs, a dps and a guardian.
Usually wouldnât resurrect an older thread; but having the exact issue. Level 70, trying to convert from Feral to Guardian. Each time export creates a Feral config. Seems it would benefit from a new choice, something like âImport ToâŚâ option which would force import to a specific setup. With my current gear, Iâm not able to use johnnyhellâs method to force it to optimize gear as Guardian.
If you could post a snapshot of your character (press âhelpâ next to the big Best in Bags section header, then Create Support Post, and copy the generated ID here), and then also paste the string of text that you are copying from the addon to our website, I can take a closer look at it.
For me was the key to not take one talent that increased cat dps. Since then he considers me as Guardian
