This is what AMR gave me yesterday versus what it just gave me today. I have gotten absolutely nothing new, or played anything or nothing, same weights, same best in bags with bank open, same talents etc.
Why two different results
Why do they not seem to value hitting that avoidance minimum of 102.4%
Why did the result from yesterday not even crit cap me.
Where is the avoidance % displayed on the screen?
What am i missing? I put them both to the TUF maximum. Any input or advice or maybe AMR is still tweaking the TBC stat weights?
There is a “help” button just above the gear table. Click that and it will generate a 32 digit code which you can paste here. That will let us actually see what you are seeing on the website (including all your settings, etc). It is hard to comment on something like this with only screenshots.
Any change to your starting conditions or constraints will result in small differences in the output. A new item in your bag, a changed setting, etc.
We are not tweaking the mathematical models for TBC. We went through a round of exhaustive tweaking the first time they ran TBC classic.
Are you using the “crush immune” setting in the customize section? We don’t go for crush immune necessarily by default, but you can try to force it with that setting.
This is the snapshot ID and I did not have the crush immune/crit immune enabled. I have gotten some newer pieces so I’m curious what you think of it now. I’m still confused at the usage of the dps trinkets, over the defensive trinkets. Also, I’m confused at the mongoose enchant over major spellpower.
When I put the crush/crit immune enabled, is it factoring it in with holyshield up? I don’t see how else I could reach the avoidance necessary without it. 6cafd9a248054762bbf4273709c7812a
Yes, we consider holy shield as 100% uptime for the purpose of gear optimization if you have 2/2 improved holy shield. There is no way to reach crush immune without that 30%. This is why a bear tank can’t even try for it, for example.
One thing to keep in mind, if you have your retribution spec above protection in the list on the left, retribution gets optimized first. Some gems/enchants for that spec could get locked in any shared pieces for the protection optimization.
The dps trinkets have haste, which the optimizer likes for you right now in low level gear. Once you move into higher level gear, it will start to favor more of the stats you expect from a BiS list. Especially spell power - getting a bit more gear will push that over the mongoose enchant. Mongoose is really not a bad enchant for prot paladin, they have a weirdly good agi/crit conversion.
