Front page says it optimises talents, but I cannot find the page for doing that.
We should probably change that! We don’t actually optimize talents.
For a while at the start of Dragonflight we made an alpha of talent ranking… but the number of combinations was so large and it was so difficult to maintain, we never finished it and released it as a public feature. We really wanted to do it… but just couldn’t make it happen.
That said, our gear optimizer is unique in that it will adapt to any combination of talents that you give it and adjust your gear accordingly. We actually model every talent and do our best to give every build – even weird and unpopular builds – a fair shake.
But we treat the talents as a user input to the optimization, not something that is also optimized.
