Inconsistent Enchants with Multiple Gear Sets

Just ran BiB after opening my weekly chest. The results appear… a little inconsistent. My first two gear sets come out just fine. But then the 3rd gear set wants me to replace a weapon enchant from the second gear set for a 0.08% DPS increase. It’s my understanding that this shouldn’t happen because the second gear set should take priority. In addition, I also have the Gem+Enchant Threshold set to 0.25%, so I don’t understand why I’m seeing an enchant change for a 0.08% DPS increase. Seems like a potential bug.

To reproduce this, I would need to know what order your setups are in, e.g. mistweaver first, brewmaster second, etc. Just that and which gearing strategy you are using in each setup should be enough… if I need more details than that to reproduce your case I’ll ask you for further information.

My bad, I thought you could access all that.

  1. Windwalker, Single Target with Gift of the Loa
  2. Windwalker, Single Target without Gift of the Loa
  3. Windwalker, Multi-Target without Gift of the Loa

As an aside (and this might deserve its own post) BiB NEVER suggests an agility gem for me. That seems odd to me.

Thanks – I was able to reproduce it. It appears that there is a piece of logic in the path that searches for alternative setups (the “customize” tab) dealing with dual-wield weapon enchants that isn’t obeying locks/restrictions from higher-priority setups. I’ll fix that in the next update.

As for the gem – it’s not uncommon for secondary stat gems to be near equal or more valuable than primary stat gems, especially as gear levels increase over an expansion.
