Mistweaver ring for Brewmaster?

After last night’s raid, I wanted to update my gear, so I fired up AMR. The changes for my primary spec (Windwalker) were fine, but then when I went to optimize for Brewmaster, I got something very… unexpected. AMR told me to use Eye of Collidus the Warp-Watcher, which is a Mistweaver ring. I have all of the legendaries and they’re all upgraded to ilvl 1000, so that’s not the issue. The Mistweaver ring has a socket, but so do three of the four Brewmaster rings. So… I’m at a loss.

Which gearing strategy were you using? You might be at the point where the defensive effects on the legendary items are unnecessary to stay alive, so the optimizer is using the items that give you the best stats possible for extra DPS - essentially any item without a DPS effect is treated equally as stat sticks.

BiB optimises for all spec.'s, as per your priority list, in one shot - if you want a pure set for each spec, that’s the only reason to run BiB MORE than once.

If you have an equal likelihood to play WW & BM., that’s the ONLY reason to run more than one, BiB - if BM is a spec. you use infrequently, then a regular BiB will be enough to cover you for a single BiB.
