I imported from my addon into AMR yesterday and was tinkering with things. I logged into my account from work today hoping to take a look at some stuff on downtime and I have nothing there. Is this normal? Is there not a way to save the character?
As long as you are logged in, your character is saved. The list of “recent characters” is saved per-browser though… we should probably move that to be saved on the server as well.
You can browse directly to your character in the meantime though with a link like:

If your server name has spaces or special characters, that’s fine, just enter it as-is in the URL, but all lowercase. If nothing loads when you type the URL hashtag into your browser and press enter, hit your browser’s refresh button once and it should load.
