Blizzard has released the addon compartment for almost two years now and we have yet to get the addon into the neat little thing instead of using slash commands or actual minimap buttons.
Would be great if going forward into War Within the addon could be placed into the compartment (either permanently or as an option).
We could look into that – I honestly didn’t know it was a thing… it is a pretty tiny hidden UI feature that I never noticed before.
So we would probably keep the minimap icon (which you can already hide if you wish) and add it as an alternative for people who want to use it.
Newer version of LibDBIcon-1.0 support the AddonCompartment. Setting db.showInCompartment to true will add the button.
v142 or later has it added to the addon compartment.
