Hello! I’ve checked the old forum posts about this topic: one from darthnerdus in June 2020 and another from ryan79rizzo in April 2025. Apologies if I’m incorrectly looking at this issue!
The current bis runeforge for unholy is Apocalypse, but AMR is 100% suggesting Fallen Crusader. When I select Apocalypse as my preference in Best in Bags custom options, this does not carry over into the result. I first attempted to lock the runeforge on the suggested weapon, but AMR then replaced the result to a new weapon in re-optimization. My current workaround is to lock both the weapon and runeforge, then re-optimize, which works. Wanted to bring this up just to provide some quality-of-life information. Thanks!
I’ll take a look at why that customize option is not working.
And I’ll do some more testing with Rune of the Apocalypse… my initial tests do not show it to be better than fallen crusader for unholy… but maybe I missed something about it!
edit: yeah looks like I had a setting from pre-Midnight impacting rune of the apocalypse, I’ll update that in the next update as well and it will be picked as the preferred runeforge for unholy.
We just posted an update that should make the gem/enchant custom settings work better.
And as mentioned, you shouldn’t need it in this case – this update fixes the estimate for rune of the apocalypse. A pre-patch setting was conflicting and keeping an old estimate for it.
