AMR continually suggests far lesser gear because it doesn’t recocnize the secondary stats on the item

Thanks for the post. My guess is this has something to do with how blizzard is changing the set items to now pass stats through via the catalyst. They must have made a change in the item data.
Could you post your export string from the in-game addon? With that we can see what bonus ids blizzard is (or isn’t) putting on this item and reverse engineer a fix.

Thanks for the snapshot and export string. Yeah this is related to the new catalyst behavior… I’m not quite sure how Blizzard is handling this particular item.
If you would be willing to help us out, what I really need is the item string generated by the game itself for this particular item. The easiest way to grab that is from the settings file for the AskMrRobot addon (we save all the item strings there).
That file is located on your hard drive at a location like:
C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_\WTF\Account\YOURACCOUNT\SavedVariables\AskMrRobot.lua
(You may have warcraft installed to a different folder, and YOURACCOUNT would show your actual account name.)
You can open that file with any text editor, such as notepad. When the file is open, then search it for the name of that item: Luminant Verdict’s Divine Warplate (You can search in notepad and many programs with Ctrl+F).
You should find it in a chunk of text that looks something like this:

(This is an example for a random item in my character’s bags.)
If you could paste that text here, I can hopefully get what we need from that to figure out this item. If you find that item name more than once in your settings file, just copy all instances that you find here.

Thanks – I think that I see how they are doing it with this item. I should be able to get that fixed in today’s update.
Though it works for this item, it does beg the question of how they would handle other types of items with random stats as a catalyst source… or maybe Blizzard is just hoping that never happens… which would be a very Blizzardy design approach.
We just posted an update that should resolve this issue. You may need to re-import from the addon to see the change to your gear.

Hi,
I am encountering a similar issue with a crafted item. In-game, the item is crafted with +75 Critical Strike / +75 Haste using a missive.
However, on the AMR website, it displays +75 Mastery / +75 Versatility (falling back to the item’s default stats).
Thanks for the snapshot – I’ll take a look and figure out why it is not picking up the correct stats, and we’ll fix that in the next website update.
We just posted an update that should fix this issue.
The way that Blizzard modifies items has become very messy and reliant on implied rules… in this particular case it is particularly annoying:
In the raw game data, these crafted items do not have any secondary stats specified on them. Instead they have two “placeholders” that say how much of two secondary stats should be added. Then the game attaches modifiers to the item that say which stats should be assigned to those two placeholders.
They have two different ways to specify which stats to assign: one uses the “bonus ID” system, and the other uses key/value pairs attached directly to the item.
For this particular item the game is providing both: the bonus IDs specify crit+haste, and the key/values specify mastery+vers. You just have to “know” that the bonus IDs win and overwrite the key/value pairs. We did an update to deal with the new catalyst that flipped this priority (which we never really knew mattered until now).
Anyway, should be fixed now the next time you import from the addon.
