Since introducing the adaptive strategies, the Single Target-BiB for my Balance Druid suggests to drop my Impeccable Fel Essence and use Ekowraith instead, but Impeccable Fel Essence together with Oneth’s Intuition should be the recommended one, as it’s surely more powerful than improving Thick Hide or Ysera’s Gift. For Multi-Target it suggests to drop Impeccable Fel Essence and use Lady and the Child, but that makes sence.

I’m not sure why it’s recommending what is a downgrade in the simulation, but one thing to watch is that with the adaptive gear strategies, your talent selected effect gearing recommendations. When I swap Stellar Drift to Nature’s Balance, I see something closer to what I think you’re looking for. Make sure the talents are set for the content you’re gearing for (in the menu to the left of your character name) so the adaptive gear strategy is optimizing for your playstyle.
You are right, if I switch Shooting Stars to Blessing of the Ancients I get the correct recommendation. But as you said, the recommendation without switching the talent is still a bit strange.
In a roundabout way… I think the main source of the issue here is the Stellar Drift talent in single-target when paired with the legendary that makes starfall worth using in single-target. Some setups with that talent were skipped as “not interesting” when actually they are, which is leading to a “gap” in the data.
I’m working on some code that can detect such things and fix that up.
