Strange Mistweaver Monk's stat priority for PAWN

I’m playing WoW Midnight Retail.

I got THIS stats priority for PAWN with AMR Mythic+ Strategy:

( Pawn: v1: “Муроно - Mythic+”: Class=Monk, Spec=Mistweaver, Intellect=74.48, HasteRating=50.89, MasteryRating=46.03, Versatility=35.73, CritRating=8.67, Leech=3.47, Avoidance=0.02, Indestructible=0.01, MovementSpeed=0.01 )

And THIS with AMR Raid Strategy:

( Pawn: v1: “Муроно - Mistweaver”: Class=Monk, Spec=Mistweaver, Intellect=85.63, MasteryRating=48.56, Versatility=40.09, HasteRating=38.37, CritRating=7.19, Leech=3.39, Avoidance=0.02, Indestructible=0.01, MovementSpeed=0.01 )

Both have extremely low weight for CritRating, which is an order of magnitude lower than all other stats, while in all guides the stats priority is indicated approximately like:

Intellect > Hast > Critical Strike > Versatility > Mastery

Mastery always had the lowest priority for mistweaver monks…

What does it matter? Or may be I’m so stupid? Please help me figure this out.

I would need to see your specific setup to give a better answer – you can press the “help” link next to the big Best in Bags section header and copy the generated 32-digit code here. Then I can try your exact case.

In general though, Pawn weights are very “local” – they are only good for a few upgrades and then they need to be recalculated. Without seeing more details I’m not sure if that is all that is going on in this case, but it may be contributing to it.

There must be something specific in this case as well, because I don’t see the optimizer recommending high mastery and low crit for mistweavers in general.

I will look into it more. In general, builds with chi-ji are going to favor getting mastery. Builds without chi-ji won’t like mastery. I think that makes sense, as gust of mist healing is a big part of your healing with chi-ji. I don’t think I have the healing from chi-ji’s gusts hooked up to the “healing cooldown” slider right now, I could do that so people can reduce the mastery recommendation, although I question getting low mastery if you are playing chi-ji.

For critical strike… that’s an interesting one to me. I’ll have to think about it. It is not clear to me why crit would be particularly favored for mistweaver. I know you get more mana tea stacks with higher crit, but in my modeling, that isn’t a particularly big deal for your mana pool. By that I mean, I don’t think you would run out of mana without stacking up crit on your gear.

You have a considerable portion of healing that does not scale with crit at all, like strength of the black ox shields, chi cocoons from spiritfont/celestial harmony, life cocoons. They aren’t a gigantic slice of your healing, but if the rest of your healing is all scaling with haste and vers, crit is not going to be good unless you are running out of mana.

Thank You for answer. So, you think that such priorities are correct when playing in my current spec?

I think that the current stat priorities will be good. I might still tweak them a little bit this week as I work on it, but I don’t expect any major changes.

If you find that you are running out of mana using a low crit gearing strategy, you could force a few extra crit items on your gear. But, keep in mind that the return on investment isn’t that great there. 25% crit gets you 25% more mana tea stacks, which isn’t a lot of mana.

The other thing to consider is how you are using chi-ji. If you are using it often and not over-healing a lot with gusts, I think this gearing strategy that gets mastery will work well for you. If you aren’t maximizing your chi-ji windows or find yourself sitting on chi-ji a lot, then you would want to lay off the mastery.

Thank You a lot! Best regards!
