We have mentioned this in a few threads, but I wanted to consolidate it into one announcement:

We plan to re-release the TBC version of our site sometime later this week or early next week, depending on how the Midnight pre-patch goes.

New expansions are a lot of work, and there simply wasn’t enough time for us to both finish the Midnight pre-patch AND work on getting the TBC version up at the same time.

If you previously purchased the TBC classic addon for our website, you will NOT need to purchase it again. Each of the three classic versions of our site (Classic Era, TBC, WotLK) are independent, one-time purchases, that are good for as long as those versions of the game are playable. (An active annual subscription is also required for any version of our site.)

Sorry for the slight delay getting TBC up again, but we are just two people and these two releases overlapped too closely in time.

We just posted an update that re-enables The Burning Crusade version of Ask Mr. Robot.

Addon Update

You will need the updated version of the AskMrRobotClassic addon. It is on our website at Addon | Ask Mr. Robot, and also on curseforge or wago.

note: looks like there is a little style error on our addon page that we’ll fix. You want version 50 for the TBC version.

Release Phase

For both Best in Bags and Best in Slot, and some of the Upgrade Finder searches, you can specify a release phase. For Best in Bags this mainly controls which gems and enchants are available. Make sure to set this as appropriate before optimizing.

Item Data

This is using the item data as it was seen the last time The Burning Crusade was playable on a classic server. Hopefully it is still the same as what is on the anniversary servers… but please let us know if you run into any issues or inconsistencies.

Trinket Rankings

Note that the TBC version of the site won’t have rankings for a lot of the vanilla/classic trinkets with special effects. Only TBC end-game special effects will have rankings.

One-Time Purchase

If you have never used The Burning Crusade version of our site before, it is a one-time purchase in addition to the normal subscription. If you already paid this one-time fee in the past, you do not need to purchase it again. Your account billing page will show the status of the one-time classic purchases for your account.

For my priest, it is not finding the helms and leaving that spot blank.

If you are having an issue, click the “help” link next to the big “Best in Bags” section header, then copy the generated 32-digit snapshot ID here. With that we can reproduce and troubleshoot your specific case.
