It is suggesting I keep my main hand and offhand even though I have a much better two-hand staff in my bags (Rod of the Unyielding). The intellect and stamina alone is much higher. In addition it got spellpower.

Thanks for the snapshot. The optimizer is tuned mainly around end-game content, so sometimes it can hit a few snags with lower-level gear. I’ll see if we can smooth this out.
In the meantime if you shorten the fight length a little, even to just e.g. 120 or 150 sec, it should resolve the issue.
I’ve got a ilvl 260 monk that’s getting a suggestion for a ilvl16 Shiny Ookin’ Bauble as a trinket… uh…
