I see that you can optimize and pick a trait that you want to prioritize, which is great. The problem I see is that the Trait I want falls off after picking it the first time and AMR keeps trying to pick it up multiple times.
The trait I am referring to is for Druid - Balance: Arcanic Pulsar. It doesn’t pick the trait automatically for me under no customization and when I do customize, it tries to pick it for all 3 pieces. From what I’ve been reading, it’s the best Generic Trait, but only valuable to have once.
Even when I try to go in and change one of the other Arcanic Pulsar to another piece and re-optimize, it removes all the Arcanic Pulsar and removes it from my Customization option completely.
Outside of locking just one piece of gear, is there any way AMR picks up the trait just once?
The ranking of that trait does take into account the diminished value of having it on two items. If I look at a BiS list for a generic balance druid, as an example, it picks up one Arcanic Pulsar.
The customize feature in BiB assumes if you target a trait, you want it on multiple items. If you specifically want it on one and only one (and the default solution doesn’t pick it at all) - you should lock it in on one piece. Probably your lowest ilvl piece since the most valuable part of the trait isn’t affected by ilvl.
Yeah, I just don’t like locking it in on that piece. I’ve been saving about 4-5 pieces per spot, to allow for optimization, so if I lock in that one piece, there could be a different piece that would be better to lock in. So, then I’m having to check each piece I can lock in and finding which one parses the best. All of which I pay the sub for AMR to do that work for me, so I don’t have to sim every single set-up of gear I want to try out to find one of them is the best.
