For my unholy DK, you rank Storm-Eater’s Boon almost 3% higher than Manic Grieftorch. There’s a definite problem with the Storm-Eater’s Boon in that you can’t move while it’s casting, so there are often situations where it would be dangerous to use. The Manic Grieftorch doesn’t have that problem.
Do you consider the likely less frequent use of the Storm-Eater’s Boon in deciding which of these trinkets is better?
We assume you get ~80% of the theoretical maximum value from Storm-Eater’s Boon.
If you are finding that is too optimistic for the fights you are doing, use the customize tab and apply a multiplier to further reduce its value, e.g. 0.5 would reduce the special effect to half of its current estimated value. (The trinket customization is only applied to the special effect, any static stats are ranked as normal.)
