So while constantly siming my gear to keep up (alive I want to live!) on a chest I have the AMR keeps telling me to select a ret talent for prot. Not one of the ones that work for both specs - one I can only use IF ret.
Is this a bug?
Because that talent won’t be active for me while I am prot - just like if I try to wear prot talent gear unless the talents work for both specs I can’t use them.
Picture below of the build suggestion from AMR for my Character. Talent in question is the second one/ring on the 7th Legionnaire’s Chestguard
On the left side is Ret listed higher than Prot? It would be prioritizing Ret then. Also post your character export information from in-game so we can test out too.
Also:
It’s not of a lot of value for protection, but can be worth picking if nothing else on that tier is worth much on an item.

Thats the weird thing - Prot is listed on top. Its trying to get me to take Lights Decree which is a ret only one.

Its also turning me in to a little bit of a horder with gear - anything over 425 I feel like I can’t scrap because I may get something and need it to balance my stats according to AMR

Lights decree gives the 5 second duration increase in prot and holy spec, you have to be in ret spec to pick it.
It’s is often with having one in holy and or prot spec.

Yes, avenging wrath will last 5 seconds longer in prot spec if you have the trait equipped.
