Upgrade Finder changes

A while back, there was a change made to Upgrade Finder, where instead of being able to search for upgrades up to item level X, it now has just the Crest, so if you select Rune it just assumes ilvl 619, not 615. This is fine when searching in the category of Valorstones/Crests. But when using Great Vault or Quick Rank it can be misleading.

But if you are “wearing” a pair of 610 gloves, and your vault or quick rank has a different pair of gloves in it. It seems like it will always say those are going to be the better gloves because it will assume they are ilvl 619. But is is possible that if you upgraded the gloves you are currently wearing to 619 they would be better.

Choosing the crest over the ilvl is fine, but is there a way for for the Vault or quick rank upgrade finders to show or compare to what you are currently wearing as if they were upgraded to the same rank as well, and mark it somehow as “Currently Equipped” so you can tell if it is actually and upgrade or not.

Maybe it is doing that and it just didn’t appear to me at the time I made some of my decisions since the change.

As always, thanks for all your work

We could look into adding an option to compare upgrades against the upgraded version of your existing item in that slot rather than the version that you currently own. It might get a little tricky… but I think that it should work out for most cases.

We just did an update that adds another option for people to try out:

On the Great Vault and Catalyst searches, there is a new checkbox labeled “Upgrade Equipped Items”. This will let you see the score of potential upgrades relative to the current or upgraded version of your existing item in the respective slot.

I think that should do what you were asking.

Theoretically we could add it for Quick Rank as well… but we started with just these two searches to see how it works out.
