Same Item, Same Stats (related to level), Higher level identified as worst of two.
Looks like bug, or it’s me doing or understanding something wrong?
Yeah that looks a little weird… if you could provide me with a snapshot ID I can test your specific case and see what’s going on. To create a snapshot ID, press the “help” link next to the big Upgrade Finder section header as seen in your screenshot, then click “Create Support Post” on the popup that opens. It will generate a 32-digit ID you can copy here.

I also get that upgrading items I have to 619 is a downgrade on my warlock when useing “Upgrade Finder - Valorstones/Crests” & on “Catalyst” aswell.
I have a 606 head equipped and upgrading it to 619 shows as a downgrade, also when upgrading my tier chest from veteran to champion in the catalyst.
Sure, thanks for your attention to the case.

Thanks – so in your case this is just a display issue. I’ll try to improve that. The lower item level trinket does in fact rank lower, but since you already own that variant (or a better one), it discards the score and sets it to zero for display.
This is actually an interesting case because you own two of that item, once can be upgraded to 593, which is lower than another one you have, which can be upgraded to 619. We’ll come up with a better way to display this… really for this particular case, simply not showing the lower one would probably be better.
@zlatzek Your case is a little different… what’s happening is you have set max on-use items to None, yet you have an on-use trinket equipped. When the upgrade finder goes to rank your upgraded items, it will try many combinations of items with each potential upgrade, but it will always (and only) try valid combinations. Your currently equipped gear is invalid according to your own settings… so it has an “unfair” reference point against which to compare all upgrades.
In other words: yes, upgrading your head item is a downgrade in any combination of gear with zero on-use items. You would have to allow one or more on-use items for it to be an upgrade.
We have seen this type of thing happen a lot recently… where a person’s equipped gear is invalid according to their settings, and it causes confusion. I’m going to try and put up either some warnings, or some automatic adjustments to your settings when they are inconsistent with your gear.
Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
